Cher Asks Her Fans a Question on Her 77th Birthday

While her 76th year has been full of ups and downs, including the death of her beloved mother and a breakup with her much younger boyfriend, Cher admits she’s looking forward to being 77.

On May 20th, the iconic singer turned 77 years old and while celebrating the major milestone, Cher asked her fans a question via Twitter. And although 77 may seem like a high number, Cher is letting the world know that her age means absolutely nothing.

“Ok,Will Someone????????PLEASE Tell me…..When Will I Feel OL????????.This is ridiculous????. I keep hearing these numbers,but I Honestly can’t understand them. WHATS THE DEAL WITH #’s⁉️I’m dyslexic & #’s Are hard 4 me.
Thank u for staying, I know it’s been hard. Got to go work out. Twitter is harder for me than TweetBot.”

We mean, it is quite inspiring what women like Cher and Martha Stewart have been able to do while at the ages society deems women “incapable.” And it just goes to show, once again, that age is nothing but a number and that age shouldn’t mean anything.

Just look at Cher at 77, you would never believe it!

During the early morning hours of December 11, legend and iconic singer Cher took to Twitter to share a tweet that prompted thousands to send her their condolences.

Georgia was 96 years old at the time of her passing. According to the Daily Mail, Cher’s mom had recently been in the hospital battling a slew of health issues over the last several months, including-most recently-pneumonia.

Cher first opened up about Georgia’s health issues back in September when she shared a tweet that read, “Sorry I’ve Been Mia. Mom’s Been Sick Off & On. She Just Got Out Of Hosp. She Had Pneumonia. She’s Getting Better.”

The next day, Cher revealed that despite concern from her fans, being home with her was the best thing for her elderly mom. Cher and her mom always had a close relationship.

As reports revealed, Georgia gave birth to Cher when she was just 19. And she was an aspiring actress and singer while raising Cher.

“I remember singing and talking about the same time. I never remember not singing. My mom and I sang together all the time,” Cher once said.

To honor Georgia, her life, and her role as her mom, Cher wrote, produced, and directed the documentary known as Dear Mom, Love Cher. It premiered back in 2013.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Cher and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
