Well, a thing happened online over the weekend that you might have heard about. Actor Chris Evans accidentally shared some NSFW images of the most intimate nature. The images were quickly deleted after they were uploaded to his Instagram story, but not before capturing the collective attention of the American people.
“Chris Evans” immediately began trending on Twitter becoming the most discussed topic on the platform. Unfortunately, the internet is forever so the embarrassing images were shared far a wide. The proverbial cat was well out of the bag. Luckily, the Marvel star has taken it in stride. He recently made his first public comments following the mishap.
Friends and family swiftly came to Chris Evan’s aid after not-so-appropriate images were accidentally shared online.
Luckily, celebrity friends and Marvel fans alike were supportive of the movie hero. Mark Ruffalo, an Avengers costar was one of the first celebs to offer his encouragement after the images leaked. Both he and the Cap’ are outspoken about their political stances and share a disdain for the president. Ruffalo pointed out that the accident paled in comparison to the actions of Donald Trump.
“@ChrisEvans Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself,” Ruffalo wrote on Twitter Saturday. “See… silver lining.”

People on Twitter found it odd that Ruffalo could have just given his friend a call. And he quipped, “Yeah but…”
Whenever you’ve publicly embarrassed yourself, we imagine the hardest part is not hearing from friends, but instead, family. Brother, Scott Evans, delivered probably the best tweet of them all.
Was off social media for the day yesterday.

So.
What’d I miss?
“Was off social media for the day yesterday,” Scott joked. “So. What’d I miss?”
Ah, yes. Brotherly love. It’s a thing of beauty.
Captain America shared all of himself with the nation and provided the rousing motivation we needed to get to the… polls.
Now that I have your attention

????????♂️????????♂️….
VOTE Nov 3rd!!!
The Avenger didn’t feel the need to avenge his pride or comment to his detractors, no, Evans traveled the high road. He took to Twitter and sent the following communique: “Now that I have your attention [facepalm-emoji, shrug-emoji]…. VOTE Nov 3rd!!!”
“This is a power move,” commented Hilarie Burton Morgan

Actor Billy Eichner followed Evans’ lead commenting, “Some hot pics here:” and shared a link that linked to Vote Save America.
Evans’ Knives Out costar Jamie Lee Curtis added, “My boy! Proud of him. Got MY attention!”
While sharing his D with the public is new to Evans, encouraging political engagement in America is not.
The Snowpiercer star recently founded A Starting Point, a fact-based bipartisan website for basic political topics and policies. “ASP’s mission is to create a bipartisan channel of communication and connectivity between Americans and their elected officials with the goal of creating a more informed electorate,” their website reads.
“Our goal is to create a chain of connectivity between elected officials and voters to create engagement,” Evans explained to People in July. “To try and just create a little bit more involvement from the public with the political arena.”
“It’s just when you look around, you try to figure out how can you help.”
“It’s not that I’m specifically drawn to politics. It’s just when you look around, you try to figure out how can you help,” Evans added.
“There’s a lot of things you can do as an actor with your name,” he continued. “I could be making booze — I don’t discourage anyone from doing that, I love booze — but there’s no denying that I played a certain character, and it just so happens to align with part of my nature in terms of being someone who is politically involved and who cares about the wellbeing of people in this country.”
“You have to use your platform to do more than just retweet things.”
He’s got that right! Please make sure you’re registered to vote and make Captain America proud. Chris Evans, we salute you. America needs you!
