It’s not a grill or a whiskey-stone set — no, no, no. Pratt is credits wife Katherine Schwarzenegger for gifting him his two kiddos.
“The greatest gift that I’ve seen so far, the second child really shows you the uniqueness of the first child,” Pratt told Daily Pop co-host, Lilliana Vazquez, on the June 15 episode.
The pair brought daughter Lyla into the world in August of 2020; Pratt is also father to eight-year-old son Jack from his previous marriage to Anna Faris.
“When you have one child, you just think, ‘Oh that’s what babies are like.’ And then a second child comes along, and they might do things differently from the get-go, and you say, ‘Oh wow, OK so that was actually unique what my first child had done.’ Each child is unique and special and they’re not just punched out of a mold.”
The topic (naturally) shifted to combat — and Pratt was asked if he had to choose, if he would fight aliens, dinosaurs or his wife.
“Dang, I have to say aliens just because there are so many of them,” Pratt joked. “If there were several million dinosaurs or Katherine attacking the world, that would be more daunting. Katherine, I can take one on one because I know her weak spots because I’m married to her.”
Pratt stint in Amazon Studios’ action film, The Tomorrow War, streams via Prime Video on July 2 — and if you were curious, yes, there is a lot of combat, fighting and aliens, oh my!
“This film is bigger than an elephant, this film has got more weight, it’s got huge set pieces. It is not cheap,” Pratt gushed. “It came out of the brain of some amazing screenwriter’s [Zach Dean] imagination. It’s a really expensive story to make and you can watch it in your PJs at home.”
And speaking of getting cozy in our PJs at home, the dad of two recently posted the sweetest selfie featuring his two kids on a lazy weekend morning.
“Baby time!” Pratt captioned the clip, which featured him sitting on a couch with son Jack, 9, and 10-month-old daughter Lyla.
And while fans were elated to see a small piece of the famous dad’s life, Pratt continues to protect his children’s privacy.
“It’s something that’s really important to my husband and I to give to our kids and to be able to have that privacy, and not necessarily show much of them on social media,” Katherine previously revealed to Today on the subject.
