The Chrisley family – spearheaded by Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley – rose to fame with the premiere of their reality TV show, Chrisley Knows Best, in 2014. The show has amassed millions of fans and followers over the past decade as they showcased their lavish lifestyle and unapologetic opinions.
Unfortunately, things came to a crashing halt last year when Todd and Julie were convicted of bank fraud, tax evasion, and wire fraud as they attempted to fund that lavish lifestyle. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, Julie was sentenced to 7 years in prison, and their hit reality show came to an end in March.
Now nearly five months since the final episode of Chrisley Knows Best aired on the USA Network, the Chrisley family is announcing their return to reality television. The new show, which is being picked up by Scout Productions, will primarily feature Savannah, Chase, Chloe, Grayson, and “Nanny” Faye Chrisley.
“They’re ready to bring their signature heart and quirk back to the fans and we look forward to telling their story,” Scout Productions Chief Creative Officer Rob Eric said in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE – adding that he’s ‘beyond thrilled’ to work with the Chrisley family as they make their return to prominence.
He also said the family – minus Todd and Julie, of course – will be as ‘dynamically entertaining and naturally hilarious as ever’ and vowed not to shy away from the ‘authentic drama and grit that makes them just as relatable as ever.’ They hope to appeal to the same fans that supported them for 10 years.
While Todd and Julie are unlikely to make an appearance, the show will likely showcase how their prison sentences have affected the Chrisley family at large and how they’re learning to overcome the challenges that arose since they reported to prison. Todd is reportedly ‘thrilled and happy’ to hear of the new show.
Todd and Julie were sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in November 2022 and reported to separate prisons – Todd is in Pensacola and Julie is in Lexington – in mid-January 2023. Savannah Chrisley, their eldest daughter, has been taking care of Grayson Chrisley, 17, and Chloe Chrisley, 10.
Chrisley Family is ‘Happy to Be Back
In a statement following the new show’s announcement, Savannah Chrisley explained that the ‘time was right to share our story’ and revealed how excited the Chrisley family was to be back. She has been open about the impact the prison sentences had on the family through her social media and Unlocked podcast.
“We couldn’t have found better partners in Scout Productions. Their ability to balance popular culture and empathy through authentic storytelling is unrivaled and I know they’re going to find the right home for this next chapter of our lives,” Savannah Chrisley wrote in her statement. “We’re so happy to be back.”
This isn’t the first time she has talked about making a return to reality TV. She first talked about a potential return in February on her podcast. At the time, she was talking to various production companies and networks – Scout Productions was likely one of them – that had an interest in sharing the family’s story.

“We’re going to touch on where we’re at today, Mom and Dad being gone, how we’re coping with it, how we get through it,” she said on the podcast. “Also too, having two kids and all of us stepping in to make sure that they have what they need emotionally, psychologically, physically, all the things, I feel like there’s a level of humor to it as well.”
