Chrissy Teigen got straight to the point to provide an update about her family’s hamster, peanut butter. He, um…well, he died.
“Oh, peanut butter the hamster died,” the model announced on Twitter.

The Bring the Funny judge was absolutely crushed – sort of? – when peanut butter passed.
“it hursts like it happened today but it happened uhhhh no today. I dunno I forget lmao,” she wrote on Twitter.
After getting the OG penut butter last year, some fans wondered if he was holding up okay, prompting Teigen to post a follow-up video featuring Luma holding her her new pet.
“Stop asking me if the hamster is still alive – he’s alive!!,” she wrote on Instagram.
After peanut butter’s death, fans wondered how her daughter Luna took the news. While many assumed the young girl would have been devastated, she is doing alright.
“She is okay. We are very open about life and death in the house and it was all good teachable moments, especially since she still asks about baby and stuff,” Teigen wrote in response to a fan’s question.
The family has opted to replace peanut butter with another hamster, also named peanut butter.
Fans, though, wanted to get to the bottom of when the first peanut butter passed.
The mom-of-two admitted that the first hamster died a couple of weeks ago.
