Chrissy Teigen recently shared how she had tried horse riding at the suggestion of her therapist … which promptly stirred backlash online.
“My therapist says I need something that I do for just me, as I have absolutely nothing currently lol,” Chrissy tweeted out a few weekends back. “Today begins my journey into the horse world.”
Chrissy has been vocal about her recovery in therapy since losing her baby in October last year.
Back in November, she was “in a bit of a grief depression hole” and also said she was “in a very dark bubble.”
Teigen shared her horse escapade on social media alongside herself, John and their kids — resulting in many commenting how now did not seem like the right moment to be out flaunting an expensive new hobby amid a pandemic that has robbed many families of food, employment and their lives.

“A lot of people are unemployed and struggling to feed their family in the midst of a pandemic,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Maybe now isn’t a great time to say you ‘have nothing’ so you bought a horse to entertain yourself.”
A few were quick to defend Chrissy and reminded them of her recent loss.

Chrissy then took it upon herself to address the tweet — saying many misinterpreted her verbiage.
“a lot of u really misinterpreted this tweet and I guess that’s on me. I didn’t say I have nothing, I said I have nothing I do for just me. A convo with a therapist. A hobby. Cause I lost a baby. And I’m figuring myself out. And i didn’t buy a horse. But oh my god, what if I did?”
