Christina Haack said Josh Hall didn’t like seeing her win in post-divorce interview

Christina Haack said her estranged husband Josh Hall didn’t want her to thrive.

In her first interview since both she and Hall filed for divorce in July, Haack told Entertainment Tonight that she felt she wasn’t shining as bright during her marriage as to not “emasculate” him.

“But who wants to live like that,” the real estate guru and HGTV star questioned.

In Hall’s divorce filing, he said he was “blindsided” after learning Haack had filed for divorce, Entertainment Tonight reports.

As a result of their ongoing divorce, Hall stopped filming the new HGTV show they were producing alongside Haack’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa, “The Flip Off.”

“We only filmed together a few times and it was not fun to be honest,” Haack told Entertainment Tonight. “I did not enjoy filming with him,” she added of Hall.

“Having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier, and so much better in every way.”

Prior to Haack’s interview, the El Moussas also spoke out, admitting they were glad Hall was gone as they continued to film the show.

Tarek El Moussa and Haack remain close friends despite their divorce as they co-parent their two children together.

“I’d been telling him that things were bad,” Haack admitted, “for at least a year. Probably 18 months.”

“When someone is insecure and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” Haack continued. “I feel like I was not shining as bright to try and not make him feel emasculated.”

Haack admitted “the show would have been hard to film. Jealousy over Tarek. (He) doesn’t like our dynamic. Because Tarek and I have our own dynamic and some may call it ‘flirty.’ For me it’s like a sibling type thing.”

“The whole thing just would have been not as fun,” she said.

The El Moussas added that Haack “bounced back quickly” after the separation and is doing much better now.

“The Flip Off” is set to premier on HGTV in early 2025.

People shared photos of the Haack filming for the show in early November. She was spotted alongside her second husband, car enthusiast Ant Anstead, with whom she shares her youngest child.

“Ant is going to appear on the show, but he won’t be Christina’s partner,” the source told People. The details of Anstead’s role on the show have not been made clear.
