Christina Hall Sets the Record Straight on Deciding Not to Post Photos of Her 3-Year-Old Son, Hudson

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, Christina Hall took to Instagram and shared a family photo with her husband, Josh Hall, and her three kids – two of which she shares with Tarek El Moussa and the other she shares with Ant Anstead. The photo was taken in a beautiful, fall-colored field – the perfect setting.

“What better backdrop for family photos than a beautiful fall-colored field?! This photoshoot was one of my favorites. I love my family,” she wrote in the caption. As usual, Christina blocked out the face of her youngest son, Hudson, with an emoji – which has become common practice in recent months.

It all started when Ant Anstead, Hudson’s father, started using her social media posts – some of which featured Hudson – against her during the former couple’s custody battle. Although her decision was intended to diffuse the situation, the drama surrounding her son has only continued to grow worse.

Now, every time Christina Hall blocks her son’s face on Instagram, she’s faced with a slew of comments criticizing her parenting style. And that’s exactly what she saw after her Thanksgiving post a few days ago. She responded to such comments in an Instagram Story – for what she hopes will be the last time.

“This will be the last time I talk about this… Since there is so much confusion and false info about Hudson’s photos. People on here telling me ‘she was never told she couldn’t post…’ Umm correct…I never said that! I was NOT told I could no longer post Hudson,” she wrote in her Instagram Story.

“I was NOT told anything by a judge because I was never in front of a judge. I CHOSE and choose to not post Hudson because I was exhausted over Instagram being used as a tool against me. people need to wrap their heads around the fact that none of this actually has to do with advertisements,” she continued.

She added that this has everything to do with ‘CONTROL’ and there were ‘many things that I was no longer ok with.’ She explained that Instagram was ‘being used as a tool against me to judge the kind of mom I was and I was sick of it.’ It’s not that she can’t post her son’s face, she just chooses not to.

Christina Hall Ready for the Premiere of Her “Favorite Project Ever”

When Christina Hall and her then-husband, Tarek El Moussa, received their own show on HGTV in 2013, it became an instant hit. After nine years, 10 seasons, and a divorce, the show finally came to an end earlier this year. It was a solid run, but the divorced co-parents now have their own projects to work on.

Christina Hall has been the host of her own spinoff show – Christina on the Coast – since 2019 and while a fourth season has been confirmed by the HGTV star, she has her sights on a new project that premieres on January 12th. Titled Christina in the Country, she takes her design business to Tennessee.

Trading city life for country life, she takes her family just outside Nashville to expand her business and bring new life to an old country town. She’s dubbing it her ‘new favorite project EVER’ and has already fallen in love with everything Tennessee has to offer – becoming her new home away from home.

“Co-Producing this show with my husband has been so fun and we are very proud of it! We have an amazing team both in California and Tennessee and I am grateful for all the teamwork that has gone into making both shows happen simultaneously,” said Christina Hall in an Instagram post earlier this year.
