UPDATE: Fans of NFL quarterback Russell Wilson are heartbroken. And Russell himself has spoken out:
New reports sent out today revealed that Wilson has been benched. Quarterback Jarrett Stidham will now start the remaining two games of the Denver Broncos’ season.
As Adam Schefter reveals the decision comes after the Broncos went 1 for 3 in the last four games.
Wilson has not yet spoken out about the change in roster.
This is Wilson’s 12th year in the NFL. It’s speculated that this move will mean Wilson will move one from the Broncos entirely.
It remains unclear what is next for Wilson who just welcomed a child into the world with wife Ciara.
UPDATE: Russell Wilson and Ciara have made a big announcement!
Four months after announcing that she and Wilson were expecting their third child together, Ciara’s fourth overall, the proud couple has revealed that their youngest child has made their way into the world.
In the post, Russell and Ciara shared the first photo of their baby girl and her name, “Amora Princess Wilson.” She was 9 pounds one ounce at birth. “We love you so much,” they wrote.
“Omg i love her already,” Serena Wilson wrote in the comments. “Eeeeeeee that’s sooooo exciting!! Love you mama xxx,” Lily Collins added.
NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and pop star Ciara have some massive news!
In a stunning Instagram video, Ciara has revealed that she and Wilson are expected their third child together. This will be Ciara’s fourth.
Ciara captioned the video writing, “You look at me like that again, we make another kid…You my heart I’m your rib.” While Russell commented on the video, saying, “Love you momma,” along with the hashtag, “How we roll.”
Back in 2021, Wilson and Ciara admitted that they knew each other would make the best parent in just five minutes. As their wedding anniversary approached in July, the couple recalled their first encounter with each other.
“I would say the first five minutes I met C, I knew she was going to be my wife and I also knew she was going to be a great mom and I think that she’s everything that you’d want her to be in terms of being so caring,” Russell exclaimed. “She doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty. She wants to be around the kids as much as possible and teach them the way she knows how to.”
Wilson continued, “I think the best thing is she loves with a full heart every day. Being around her for five minutes, I knew. I knew in that moment she was everything I ever wanted.”

Ciara revealed that she too had a similar experience.
“I also knew in the same moment—in the same five minutes,” she admitted. “I can say after the first time of being around each other, I knew he was going to be everything that I could have hoped for and dreamed of, just to be honest, and especially in the case of raising kids. I knew he was going to be a person that would be capable of it all. A man who would be capable of it all.”
And now, the two are busy parenting 4-year-old daughter Sienna and 10-month-old son Win. Ciara is also a mom to her 7-year-old son Future Zahir, who she shares with ex-partner Future.
Both parents have a way of finding the joy in every moment of parenting.
“For me, I love when I see Russell come home from a long day of football and jump right in for storytime or jump right in for bath time,” Ciara admitted. “Just knowing that he’s always going to be there is always the best feeling and I know that the one thing about him is he’s always going to be dedicated and committed to our family and our little ones and it’s the sweetest thing to see.”
And throughout it all, both Ciara and Russel say it is their faith that has helped their kids feel loved and valued.
“In the bible, it says, ‘Faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains’ and so I just hope that whenever they have challenges or are maybe in doubt, they are able to dig deep and find that inner faith and know that that will allow them to prevail,” Ciara explained. “The world can turn you all over the place so you have to have something to stand on, to have something that’s true and solid and I pray that our kids will be able to have that and understand how powerful and meaningful that is for their lives.”
