Popstar Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky are officially parents. According to multiple reports, the entertainers welcomed their first child together in May.
Reports have revealed that Rihanna gave birth to a baby boy on May 13 in Los Angeles. His name, however, has not yet been revealed.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have not yet personally announced the birth of their child. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the new parents “have not left each other’s side.”

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, the businesswoman and the rapper first announced they were expecting in January of this year. The couple shared photos of Rihanna rocking her growing baby bump to reveal to the world that they are expecting their first child together.
While wearing boyfriend-style jeans and a long pink coat, Rihanna bared her belly for all to see! At the time, people speculated that the color choice of her coat may also be pointing to the idea that they were expecting a baby girl!
However, as new reports are revealing, that is not the case. The first photo was initially shared by the photographer Diggzy on his Instagram page.
Over the years, Rihanna has created quite the name for herself. Not only has she become a pop icon with a repertoire of songs that are recognizable to nearly everybody, but she also became a self-made billionaire, thanks in large part to her uber-successful lifestyle brand, Fenty.
As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Rihanna has proved that women really can have it all. In 2020, Rihanna opened up about whether or not she would like to have kids.
Kids, as she said, are definitely going to be a part of her future. “Ten years? I’ll be 42! I’ll be ancient,” Rihanna said in the interview, thinking about where her life will take her a decade into the future. “I’ll have kids — three or four of ’em.”
During this interview, Rihanna was dating A$AP Rocky. However, when it came to the question as to who she would enjoy starting a family with, the singer admitted she was perfectly fine parenting alone.
“I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong …’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives,” she said. “But the only thing that matters is happiness; that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
In another interview with Extra, Rihanna admitted that one of her dreams was to become a mom. “A lot of women get very defensive,” she said after being asked about motherhood. “It’s personal, it’s our bodies, and of course, it’s our time. It’s not necessarily everyone’s dream to be a mum… but it’s mine, so I’m fine.”
Congratulations to the proud new parents. While the couple is notoriously private when it comes to their personal lives, it remains to be seen just how open Rihanna will be regarding her new role as a mom.
