DA Says It Would Be ‘Premature’ to Label Hannah Price’s Death a Homicide

In a new press release, District Attorney Jared Effler has revealed that Deanna and Chris Daughtry’s daughter’s death is being investigated. However, after multiple reports suggested sources are calling Hannah Prices’ death a homicide, Effler has revealed that it would be “premature” to call her death murder at this stage of the investigation.

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Daughtry’s 25-year-old daughter, Hannah, was found dead in her Tennessee home on November 12. In her mother’s first statement, Deanna wrote that they “are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken.”

“My firstborn,” Deanna also wrote. “I love you endlessly Hannah. Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah.”

Chris also issued a statement as well, writing that he is still processing while also being “absolutely devastated and heartbroken.” Chris Daughtry added that he also just recently lost his mother to cancer and while he was thankful to have had the chance to say goodbye to his mom, he and Deanna didn’t get that chance when it came to their daughter.

“We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family. Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time to be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss. Hannah, I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply.”

Now, the district attorney has revealed that the investigation into Hannah’s cause of death is ongoing. “On Friday, November 12, 2021, the Fentress County Sheriffs Office and the Regional Forensic Center began an investigation into the death of Hannah Marie Price, age 25. This is a death investigation and any attempt to classify it as a homicide investigation at this time is premature and irresponsible.”

The statement also mentions reports of Hannah’s reported boyfriend, Bobby Jolly, being arrested the same day she was discovered dead. “Further, no one has been arrested pertaining to the death of Ms. Price. Once the investigation into the death of Hannah Marie Price is complete, authorities will forward their findings to the Eighth Judicial District Attorney General’s Office for review.”

Hannah is survived by her stepfather, mother, and three younger siblings. It is also believed that she is survived by two of her own children as well.
