Six Disney Princess Who Would Easily Be Best Dressed at This Year’s Met Gala

On May 6, millions will tune in to marvel at looks that are sure to stun at the 2024 Met Gala, also known as fashions biggest night.

This year, the Met Gala is celebrating its Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion exhibit which is an ode to historic fashion, and pays tribute to the “natural world.” The Gala is also pulling inspiration for its dress code from J.G. Ballard’s short story from 1962 titled The Garden of Time.

The Garden of Time can be interpreted many different ways. But there is some consensus that Ballard’s short story is a metaphor for the importance of preserving history and the affect time has on the past.

The story features a botanical garden filled with flowers made of crystals, which can be taken literally or figuratively, depending on how you look at it. And while it’s predicted florals will heavily influence many of tonight’s looks, we were wondering how some of Disney’s top princess might fair at tonight’s ball.

And we believe 6 Disney Princesses would lead the best dressed list:

Tiana, The Princess and the Frog

Met Gala Tiana
Disney

Tiana is our best dress pick of the night. Pulling in the subtle shades of green in an ode to the marshy wetlands of her home state and the subtle hints of florals throughout, we think Tiana nailed the theme.

Elsa, Frozen

Met Gala Elsa
Disney

A style icon no matter what she’s wearing, Elsa took inspiration from those crystal flowers mentioned in Ballard’s short story. After all, we all know an icy look is where Elsa shines, literally.

Belle, Beauty and the Beast (Live Action Version)

Disney

When Belle joins the Beast on the dance floor after the curse had been broke, her stunning white gown, draped in florals just screams best dressed at this years Met Ball. This timeless look hit the nail on the head.

Rapunzel, Tangled

met gala rapunzel
Disney

When it comes to dressing for the Met Gala, it’s putting your best foot and your best features forward. And while Rapunzel can do no wrong, she hit it out of the park when pulling focus with floral hair pieces toward her golden locks.

Moana, Moana

met gala moana
Disney

No one does an ode to nature like Moana. Her looks often speak for themselves. When it comes to pulling inspiration from the world around her, no one does it better than Moana. So of course she made our list.

Gisele, Enchanted

met gala gisele
Disney

Elegant, yet understated and that’s exactly how we would described Gisele any day of the week. Sticking to the floral trend, Gisele also pulled from the past. It’s giving housecoat-chic, don’t you think?

What do you think? Did we miss anyone?
