If anyone had anything to say about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship, Travis’s mom, Donna Kelce, just put that all to rest.

Months after Donna Kelce was a guest on the Today Show, the mom of two took to Facebook to change her cover photo. And the cover photo features several very special people in her life, including Taylor Swift.

The photo was taken after the Chiefs became AFC champions and clinched their spot in Super Bowl 58.

How sweet is that!

Donna Kelce Opens Up About Her Son, Travis Kelce, Dating Taylor Swift

Donna Kelce is having herself quite the 2023 calendar year. She first rose to stardom in February when her sons – Jason Kelce (Philadelphia Eagles) and Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs) – played against each other in Super Bowl LVII, but now she’s going viral for her newfound affiliation with Taylor Swift.

For those who haven’t been following the dating rumors, Travis and Taylor are still in the early stages of getting to know one another, but they are most definitely an item right now. Taylor attended Travis’ past two games and has spent time with his mother, Donna, in their private suite – with other celebrity friends. 

Her rise to stardom continued this week when Donna joined host Jennifer Vickery Smith on her Got It From My Momma podcast to talk about what a ‘whirlwind’ month she has had. She then joined Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on the TODAY show, where she talked more about her life in the spotlight.

“I feel like I’m in an alternate universe, because it’s something I’ve never been involved with before,” she said on the Got It From My Momma podcast. “I thought it would be over at that point, but it seems to just continue, and every week just seems to trump the week before. So it’s really kind of a wild, a wild ride.” 

She also said that the ‘NFL is laughing all the way to the bank’ with their coverage of Taylor and Travis. “They’ve told me personally that the Kelce family has done more good PR for football than they could have paid a $1 million to a PR firm,” she said – adding that they’re ‘getting the ramifications of everything.’ 

As for why she thinks so many people are intrigued by the Kelce family and her son’s dating rumors with Taylor Swift, Donna Kelce says it’s because they’re ‘relatable.’ “We’re just normal. We’re genuine. We’re authentic, and we don’t put any airs on or try to be someone that we’re not,” she said on the podcast. 

Donna Kelce has only spent time with Taylor Swift a few times over the past few weeks – which includes the Week 3 game against the Bears, the dinner party after the game, and the Week 4 game against the Jets. One source told PEOPLE that Donna ‘likes’ Taylor and thinks she’s ‘very sweet and down to Earth.’ 

Donna Kelce Appears on the ‘TODAY’ Show

Shortly after her appearance on the I Got It From My Momma podcast, Donna Kelce joined Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on the TODAY show as she continued her press run. She echoed her earlier sentiment that she feels like she’s ‘in an alternate universe’ and that she never expected this attention.

“I feel like it’s morphed into something bigger than I could have ever expected. And especially at my age, you know, my career is over. I’m retired. There are no words for it. It’s just mind-boggling,” she said on the show – adding that she doesn’t think it’ll last and her stardom will end when her boys retire from football.

She admits that she usually doesn’t talk to her sons about their romantic lives and hasn’t thought about what kind of person Travis should be looking for. “I want to see that smile on his face, the brightness, the sparkle in his eyes, like Jason has. That’s what I want to see, and I hope I’ll see that some day,” she said.

Donna Kelce did say that ‘Shake It Off’ is her favorite Taylor Swift song and she understands why some people might be ‘tired of the Kelces’ after all the attention they get. At the same time, she’s not going to be affected by it. “It’s just their opinion. And the only opinion that matters is mine,” she says of the haters.
