They gave their new bundle of joy an amazingly sweet name: Honey James Huff. See the cute baby girl below!
Sadie Robertson Shared the News of the Birth of Her Daughter on Wednesday.
“we saw a million little miracles yesterday – the best one being this girl right here… Honey ????,” Sadie Robertson wrote alongside photos she shared to announce the birth.
“the pure goodness of God,” she added. “story to come, but I’m way too occupied right now by cuteness.”
Robertson, 23, and Huff, 22, announced their pregnancy in early October. At the time, both shared pictures of themselves cuddled up on the couch, showing off the sonogram.
“SCREAMING WITH EXCITEMENT TO SHARE THIS NEWS! Baby we already adore you,” the reality TV personality wrote in October.
A month after the pregnancy announcement, Robertson and Huff shared with fans the sex of their child in a reveal that said, “BABY GIRL WE LOVE YOUUUU.”
The Dancing with the Stars alum stood in front of giant letters that said “Baby Huff” to celebrate the happy news of their girl.
Sadie Robertson has been very open about her pregnancy journey, sharing many images on her social media accounts of things like her growing baby bump and her baby shower. But, it’s not been completely smooth.
She shared that she experienced “some pretty crazy morning sickness” and something much more harrowing.
The star was diagnosed with COVID-19 just days after she announced her pregnancy.
“The hardest thing was I did get COVID while I was pregnant and I was so sick from that, and so sick still in the morning sickness, so that was a challenge,” Robertson told People in December.
“Seriously, my heart goes out to every single pregnant person with COVID and everybody with COVID,” she told the outlet. “They were telling me at the hospital, they were like, ‘Man, people have to deliver with it.’ I can’t even imagine. So that was challenging in and of itself.”
She was sure to clue in her fans on her COVID-19 recovery, writing at the time, “I’m not going to lie, this has been one of the most challenging things.”
“I got Covid-19 and ended up getting very sick,” her message on Instagram continued. “I know everyone experiences covid differently, but wow these symptoms are wild. I’ve definitely struggled through this one!”
“I’ve learned a lot and I have been challenged in a lot of new ways,” Robertson continued. “I will say my dependency on Jesus has never felt greater in some of the hardest moment of this sickness.”
“I’m thankful I serve a savior who is with me in these moments that feel rather lonely. My heart and my families heart goes out to everyone suffering with Covid.”
“I definitely had aftereffects for a while,” she told People. “It took a while to recover, but now I’m good. I had just some stuff in my chest for like a long time, and I don’t know if anybody else experienced this, but I had like a very weird metal taste in my mouth for like a long time.”
“So yeah, it’s so weird. It’s so strange. My sister lost her smell for like three months. So it is a very weird sickness, but we’re finally past it and we’re thankful for that.”
We are so thrilled that Sadie Robertson’s baby was born to a healthy mom who had to fight hard to get her baby here. Congrats, Sadie, Christian, and Honey!
