Fans have taken to Reddit to share in their collective shock after an Instagram video showed Jeremiah Duggar and his fiancée laying in bed together. The video seemed to be a compilation of the fun moments Duggar and Hannah Wissmann have had in the past as the song, Give Me Your Forever by Zack Tabudlo played in the background.
Many of Hannah’s followers found the video very charming, sweet, and cute. However, others took note of a few things in the video that may have been against Duggar’s rules.
Fans Shocked Over Latest Video of Jeremiah Duggar and His Fiancée
In one of the clips, it seems pretty clear that both Jeremiah and Hannah are laying in the same bed together. While many of the Duggar rules frown about physical touch, especially before marriage, many think the act of laying in a bed together could fall under that umbrella.
However, given the fact that they are engaged to be married and both Jeremiah and Hannah are very clearly just innocently hanging out with each other, this may not be such a shocking moment. It’s also unclear if only Jim Bob’s daughters are expected to follow these rules.
When it comes to the rules Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have put in place for their family, the rules are heavily geared toward the females in the family. Some of the rules are:
They must practice abstinence.
They are not allowed to use birth control.
They are not allowed to show their legs above the knee.
While courting, they must be chaperoned.
Alcohol is not allowed
The women are not allowed to wear pants.
They are not allowed body piercings.
And these are just a few.
However, when it comes to the Duggar men, it could be imagined that not as many of the rules apply to them. Or it could be that they allow their girlfriend and her family to take the lead on what is and is not allowed.
The video also showed a frontal hug, which if you know is also not allowed during the courting process. Only side hugs are approved of.
Some fans are wondering if Jim Bob and Michelle are simply getting more lenient with their younger kids. “My mouth literally dropped open! I know they say that the parents give up with the later kids but…”
Jeremiah and Hannah have been engaged for two months. In a January 6 Instagram post, Hannah wrote, “YES!!!! A thousand times, yes!!! Making memories with you is my favorite and I cannot wait to spend a lifetime making more. You are an answer to prayer, a dream come true, the love of my life, and my very best friend. I love you, Jeremiah!”
Hannah revealed that she and Jeremiah will be saying “I do” at the end of March, more specifically on March 26.
