We’re more than a month away from Christmas Day, but Dwayne Johnson is already getting in the holiday spirit.

During a Nov. 11 appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the 52-year-old was promoting his upcoming film “Red One” when he had a surprise for fans.

After a commercial break, the actor shrunk in size and dressed in character for another edition of the show’s “Holiday Questions with Elf on the Shelf.”

A flurry of questions followed, to which Johnson had a flurry of answers.

“Elf on the shelf, what is the best part about the holidays?” Fallon asks a much smaller Johnson, who was perched up on the fireplace mantel.

“Oh, some say friends, others say family. For me, it’s drinking spiked eggnog out of a Stanley,” Johnson replied.

When asked what separates him from other elves, Johnson said that they’re all “very joyous and happiness abounds,” but he’s the only elf who can bench press 500 pounds.

Fallon, who didn’t seem convinced, asked the elf how tall he was.

“Well I can tell you in inches, feet or in yards, but it’s easier to say I’m one and a half Kevin Harts,” Johnson replied, referring to fellow actor and close friend, Kevin Hart, while also making fun of his height.

He brought the segment full-circle when asked what his favorite holiday tradition was.

“It’s hard to pick, they’re all so much fun. But this year, I’m gonna take the family to go see ‘Red One,’” he concluded.

Johnson was invited onto the show to promote the upcoming film, which is set for a Nov. 15 premiere.

The “Moana” star was cast as Callum Drift in the film, which also stars Chris Evans as Jack O’Malley, Lucy Liu as Zoe Harlow, and J. K. Simmons as Santa Claus.

Johnson’s character, who is the head of North Pole security for Saint Nicholas, teams up with O’Malley, a bounty hunter, to save Christmas, according to IMDB.

Johnson has spoken highly of the film, as well as his chemistry with Evans.

“Chris is a very funny guy. He’s also very talented,” he said in a Nov. 4 interview with People.

“And I thought earlier that maybe me and Chris might have some good chemistry. So did he,” he continued. “[And] we did.”

Johnson went on to praise Evans for making him laugh “so many times” while filming.

And since Johnson doesn’t have a lot of experience with Christmas movies, he wanted to make sure he went all-out for this one.

“I think when you get into acting … the idea of making a Christmas movie … you wanna make sure that you make a good one,” he told People.

“You don’t want to be part of a crew that makes a (expletive) Christmas movie. So I think we made a good one.”
