Dancing with the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold welcomed daughter Sage Jill a week ago and recently shared an inside look at the emotional delivery.
The first-time mom shared her personal video on her Arnold Sisters YouTube channel. The video begins showing Lindsay and her husband Samuel Lightner Cusick driving to the hospital in the wee hours of the morning.

Lindsay exclaims that she’s “having contractions every five minutes,” and reveals that her water broke during the night at 3:30 a.m.
Once they get to the hospital, Lindsay shares on camera that she is “four centimeters dilated” and that she was preparing to give birth.
“Baby girl was still breech and I was progressing very fast so we prepped right away for C-section delivery,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
The video doesn’t share every detail, but does give a peek at her emotional response during her C-section. “Is [the baby] okay?,” she tearfully asks Samuel.
The video shows nurses cleaning, weighing and checking on Sage before handing her off to her excited mama. Lindsay cries as she holds Sage for the first time, giving her little kisses and stroking her sweet face.
“We could not be more in love with her and feel blessed beyond words to be her parents,” the new mom wrote after sharing a sweet photo of Sage. “She entered this world on the same day that we lost Sam’s beautiful mother just one year ago and we couldn’t help but see God’s hand in this and know that Sage was handed down to us by her beautiful angel grandmother.”
Sage was born on November 2 at 6:07 a.m., eight days before her due date, weighing 7lbs 10oz and 19 inches long.
“Thank you all so much for the love and support you have sent our way,” the proud mama wrote.
