Emma Roberts ended the year on a high note with the birth of her first child, Rhodes Robert Hedlund.
The first-time mom recently shared the first public photo of her sweet baby boy on her Instagram, sharing his name for the first time as well.

In the photo, Roberts is sitting out in a garden, wearing a tangerine dress and holding a swaddled Rhodes in her arms.
Rhodes gave his mom and dad Garrett Hedlund a late Christmas gift, arriving on December 27.
The Holidate actress shared the first photo of her son this week, saying, “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right. Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund.”
Roberts had previously opened up about her and Hedlund’s desire to have a family. Because the actress struggles with endometriosis, getting pregnant was difficult and took longer than expected.
After being diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder, one which can affect a woman’s fertility, her doctor recommended that she freeze her eggs. While she did move forward with that procedure, she did not reveal whether she used frozen eggs to get pregnant.
“It sounds cheesy, but the moment that I stopped thinking about it, we got pregnant,” Roberts told Cosmopolitan in December. “This pregnancy made me realize that the only plan you can have is that there is no plan.”
