Earlier this month, a nine-year-old boy was tragically shot during a murder-suicide that took the lives of his mother and three brothers at the hand of his father.
Ezekiel Valdivia has been on life support since the shooting, but died last week from the injuries he sustained, his uncle confirmed to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

“He was fighting for his life, but God had the last word,” his grandmother Gloria Collins told NBC7. “Maybe it was the best time for him, for them to be together.”
The family made the decision to take him off of life support after he showed no brain activity and have donated his organs, his grandmother told the outlet.
Ezekiel’s family was murdered on November 16. His parents, Sabrina Rosario and Jose Valdivia, were getting divorced at the time of the shooting.
According to police, on the day of the shooting, Jose arrived at the family home in the morning and a fight ensued. He then shot Sabrina and his four children, Enzi, 3, Zuriel, 5 and Zeth, 11, who all died immediately following the incident, and Ezekiel, 9.
The San Diego Police Department released a statement calling the murders a “tragic case of domestic violence murder-suicide.”
The statement adds: “It appears the male came to the residence in the morning and an altercation ensued. The male used his gun to shoot his wife and children before turning the gun on himself.”
