When it comes to the rumor mill, it’s hard to tell what is fact from fiction. But when it comes to social media, Duggar fans have been scratching their head regarding the status of Josiah and Lauren Duggar‘s marriage.
In 2018, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson went from courting to engaged to newlyweds. The whirlwind nature of their romance is not new when it comes to the Duggar family.
Fans Are Concerned Josiah and Lauren Duggar Are No Longer Together After Marrying in 2018

And in keeping with the fast-paced nature of Duggar relationships, not long after saying “I do,” Josiah and Lauren started growing their family. After suffering a miscarriage in early 2019, the couple welcomed their now 2-year-old rainbow baby, Bella, into the world in November 2019.
However, at some point over the last two years, the couple went from sharing handfuls of photos of their life together with their baby girl to deleting all but six photos from their joint Instagram account. They even went as far as preventing their over 773,000 followers from commenting on the remaining photographs.
And only one of the images includes Lauren. It’s a post from February 24, 2020, in which Josiah is celebrating the two-year anniversary of proposing to Lauren.
“I can’t believe it’s been two years ago today that I asked Lauren to marry me… you can guess what she said…These years have been the best years I’ve had in my whole life,” the post read.
In addition to the deleted social media post, eagle-eyed fans also noticed that Lauren was missing from the Duggar family’s 2021 Christmas celebrations. In one of several videos posted by Jana Duggar showcasing their Christmas traditions, fans asked the oldest Duggar sister where Josiah and Lauren were.
“Miss your show. Didn’t see Josiah and Lauren in the video,” one commenter wrote. “I don’t see Josiah and Lauren. I miss seeing their post and hope all is well,” someone else inquired.
However, Lauren and Josiah’s absences weren’t the only ones fans asked about. There were several comments asked about Anna and their seven children.
While the reasoning behind their privacy isn’t very clear, it could also be assumed that Josiah and Lauren decided to take a step away from the spotlight following Josh Duggar’s child pornography scandal.
As Access reported back in 2019, in a very honest Instagram post, Lauren admitted that she and Josiah had “more downs than ups” during their first year of marriage. However, Lauren attributed those downs to experiencing a miscarriage and admitted that once they got through the heartache they came back with a stronger bond.
The last time the couple was seen together on social media was in a post made by Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar during Labor Day. And with all the new chatter regarding their relationship or their whereabouts, it’s unclear if it will entice Lauren and Josiah to speak out.
