After 33-year-old mom Heidi Broussard and her 2-week-old baby disappeared on December 12, a close friend of the mom’s has been arrested and charged.
On December 18, six days after the 33-year-old mom and her 2-week-old daughter Margot Carey went missing, the father of her children, Shane Carey, broke down while making a public plea for their safe return.
In an interview with KEYE, Shane said, “If you see an awesome mom with a baby walking around or in a suspicious van or car or anything that looks suspicious, just please give somebody a call.”
According to Shane, he last talked to Broussard around 8 a.m. on December 12 after she had taken Margot to drop their son off at school around 7:30 a.m. However, when Shane arrived home around 2 p.m., Broussard and Margot were nowhere to be found.
But it was after he later received a phone call from their son’s school saying that Broussard never came to pick him up, that is when Shane reported Broussard and their infant daughter missing.
Woman Arrested Following Disappearance of Heidi Broussard and Margot Carey
Now, a close friend of Broussard’s has been arrested and charged for their disappearance. According to KVUE, the mom’s body was reportedly found in a Harris County home. However, Margot is believed to still be alive.
Law enforcement sources told KVUE that the close friend, identified as 33-year-old Magen Fieramusca, was reportedly planning to take Broussard’s baby for quite some time.
Currently, Fieramusca has been charged with kidnapping and evidence tampering but is expecting to be charged with murder as well. As KVUE reports, sources told them that Fieramusca was even with Broussard when she gave birth to Margot.
At the time, Fieramusca also claimed to be pregnant. DNA tests are currently being performed to confirm the body found belonged to the mom, and that the baby discovered alive is, in fact, Margot.
Fiermausca is currently being held on a $600,00 bond. Police do not believe Shane had anything to do with the kidnappings. Family members have not yet commented on these recent developments.
