Cast of ‘Full House’ Remembers Good Friend and Co-Star Bob Saget

As Mamas Uncut reported last night, January 9, actor and comedian Bob Saget was discovered dead in his Orlando, Florida hotel room. According to detectives, they do not suspect foul play and there were no drugs discovered nearby.

As a result, an immediate cause of death has not yet been revealed. Saget was only 65 years old.

Bob Saget was in Florida on tour. As he revealed in his last Instagram post, he was working toward getting a “special spot” and how much he loved doing what he was doing.

And while standup was his true passion, most of his fans know him as Danny Tanner, the role he played on Full House. He was America’s dad for 10 years and the world was shocked to learn of his unexpected passing.

Now, his beloved Full House co-stars, many of whom reprised their roles for the show’s reboot, Fuller House, are issuing statements after learning about Bob Saget’s death.

One of the first to speak out was John Stamos, who played Saget’s brother-in-law Uncle Jesse. “I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock,” Stamos wrote on Twitter. “I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much, Bobby.”

The two actresses turned fashion moguls, who played his youngest daughter, Michelle Tanner, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also spoke out. In a joint statement given to People, the famous twins said:

“Bob was the most loving, compassionate, and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has. We are thinking of his daughters, wife, and family and are sending our condolences.”

As did the actress who played his oldest daughter, DJ Tanner, Candace Cameron Bure:

“I don’t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I’ve ever known in my life. I loved him so much.”

Bure also took to Instagram to share several photos of her and Bob Saget together over the years. “I love you sooooo much. I don’t want to say goodbye. 35 years wasn’t long enough.”

Andrea Barber, who played annoying neighbor Kimmy Gibbler, also followed suit.

“This one hurts. He had the biggest heart of anyone in Hollywood. He gave the biggest hugs. I am gutted that I will never be able to hug him again. Bob ended every text, every interaction with “Love you.” Didn’t matter how long or short we’d been apart. He loved so deeply and so fiercely. And he never hesitated to tell you just how much you meant to him.”

Barber then shared “the greatest lesson I learned from Bob Saget – don’t hesitate to tell people you love them. I feel at peace knowing that Bob knew exactly how much I adore him. Rest well, my dear friend. I have no doubt you are making everyone in Heaven laugh until their cheeks hurt, just as you did here on Earth.”

Dave Coulier, best known as Joey Gladstone, took to Twitter and Instagram to share a brief, but poignant, statements about his good friend. “My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever bother, Dave.”

He also shared a photo of him and Saget holding hands on the red carpet, writing, “I’ll never let go, brother.”

Additionally, Bob Saget’s real-life wife and three daughters are also crushed by the sudden passing of their husband and father. In a statement released by the family, and obtained by People, they said they “are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today.”

“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Heartbreaking.
