Gabrielle Union’s Awful ‘America’s Got Talent’ Drama Continues, but So Does Her Beautiful Life as a Hardworking Mom: 20 Photos

Artist, activist, and author, Gabrielle Union, has been wrapped up in some controversy surrounding America’s Got Talent. Gabrielle apparently raised concerns about a “toxic” and “racially insensitive” work environment.

Last week, NBC reported that an independent investigation was underway to look into the claims. Apparently, Simon Cowell smoked indoors on set, which is illegal in California. But he is an executive producer and his production company Syco makes the show. NBC, along with production company Fremantle and Cowell’s company Syco, said in a statement to CNN they are working with Union to “hear more about her concerns.”

Gabrielle Union tweeted after the meeting with NBC. As always, she’s the real deal.

As troubling as all the AGT drama is, it seems that we should just take a moment to raise up Gabrielle Union, a powerful artist and mother.

She’s a beautiful mother to Kaavia James.

But that doesn’t mean she’s not fierce.

In addition to being a strong mother, Gabrielle is a strong advocate.

She’s advocates for causes that are important to her like equal pay for black women.

Gabrielle’s so amazing that Oprah showed up to film after she gave birth.

Gabrielle’s a busy mom and her baby girl comes to visit her on set.

But, it’s not all work. They play too.

They deserve a little rest and relaxation after all those days on set.

It’s always a good time for fun in the sun with mom.

Like, why not? We all like to swim a bit.

Sometimes you just need to swing a bit too.
