Jon Gosselin Calls Out the Mother of His Children for Not Using Her Nursing License During This Time

Jon Gosselin is questioning why his ex-wife Kate Gosselin isn’t working during this particular time especially after her reality show, Kate Plus 8, was canceled last year. According to Jon, prior to their TLC fame, Kate was a registered nurse.

In an interview with The U.S. Sun, Jon, who is an IT specialist in a hospital, says it’s unclear how Kate is making ends meet now that she is no longer filming her show or working as a nurse. “It’s like she’s gone MIA for a while,” he told The Sun.

Jon Gosselin Calls Out Kate Gosselin for Not Using Her Nursing License During This Time

“I have no idea what she’s doing for work. I mean you think – as she claims she has her nursing license – that she’d be on the front line. That would be a good idea. Just saying.” Kate hasn’t had any social media presence since October 2019.

According to The Sun, the publication was able to obtain records that state Kate’s nursing license is active but expires in the year 2021. Nonetheless, her ex-husband claims that Kate isn’t currently on the frontlines working as a nurse, even though she allegedly could if she wanted to.

As Jon said in his interview, his longtime girlfriend, Colleen, is also a nurse, who has been working every day since that battle against COVID-19 started. Jon told The Sun that since both of them are currently working in a hospital, they have purchased a tent should either of them get infected by COVID-19 so that they have a place to quarantine from their children.

While Kate has custody of six of their eight children, Jon has custody of two of their sextuplets, Hannah and Collin. Before moving in with his dad, Collin was in an institution after Kate explained he had special needs, something Jon disputes.

It’s unclear how Jon knows Kate isn’t currently working but he believes working in healthcare, especially now, is a calling. “When you see nurses and doctors like Colleen, it’s a calling…it’s like this inner thing. Or even our CMO here, she’s like, ‘I got sick and I can’t wait to go back to work.’ Because she’s devoted to her patients,” Jon told The Sun.

“And then you talk, like my ex-wife, ‘Well I was a nurse and this and that’. So there’s people that talk about it and then there’s people that talk about it and actually do it,” he continued. “So if I can call her out right now: If you say you’re this person, then why aren’t you doing something?”

“There’s people dying who need nurses, they need people on the frontline. There’s people coming out of retirement that are just going to the hospital and volunteering with no PPE or nothing and just being next to people dying in the hospital. I’m here, I go on the floor, I fix printers in infected rooms. Maybe I touch keyboards that might be infected – I just put my hand sanitizer on and put a mask on. It is what it is. It’s your job, you got to do what you gotta do.”

Jon also urged those who aren’t essential workers to stay home for the betterment of the rest of the world. According to The Sun, despite reaching out to Kate’s camp, she has not yet responded to Jon’s statement.
