Gwen Stefani and her husband, Blake Shelton, have been dodging pregnancy rumors for more than one month now. Since early December, fans have made several claims, allegations, and rumors that the couple may have a baby baking in the oven – with “insiders” seeming to confirm the exciting news.
Still, we haven’t had any confirmation from the couple in question and it has been nearly two months. In fact, the couple is having a lot of fun with the rumors and has even teased fans on numerous occasions as they prepare for a big announcement, just to have the announcement be non-pregnancy related.
And while the couple seems to be having fun with the rumor mean, it is important to note that asking if or assuming a woman is pregnant without knowing anything about them could be quite damaging. You never know what a person is going through or dealing with, so the assumptions could be hurtful.
As of right now, Stefani and Shelton share no children together – though he is the stepfather to her three children with former husband Gavin Rossdale. Her three sons – born in 2006, 2008, and 2014 before she filed for divorce – are regularly featured on her social media and have a great relationship with Shelton.
With that said, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been dating since 2015 and officially tied the knot on July 3, 2021. Considering their age – Stefani is 53 and Shelton is 46 – time may be running out if Gwen wants to bless Blake with his first child, which is something insiders have alluded to in the past.
On December 12th, during The Voice’s Season 22 finale, fans started to spread rumors that Stefani might be pregnant after some people noticed an alleged baby bump. They doubled down on the rumor the following day when Stefani posted a photo and a video on Instagram showing off her outfit from the night.
“So you prego or what? Don’t let the gross magazines announce for you,” said one user, with another user adding she hopes the couple has a little girl. “Amazing. Looks like a small baby bump,” another comment read.
Since the rumors started swirling, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have remained silent. Either they’re trying to keep something a secret – ahem, pregnancy – or they’re just playing along with the rumors, knowing there’s no truth to them. Either way, we’re 100% here for it – though we’d love to get an answer!
Gwen Stefani Wears Oversized Hoodie While Cooking
Just a few days later, Gwen Stefani took to Instagram to share a video of her baking some gingerbread cookies with the family. While cooking, fans couldn’t help but notice she was wearing an oversized hoodie. Sure, it might be for comfort, but she could also be baking something else under that hoodie!
Nonetheless, the rumors continued when several ‘insiders’ spoke to Life & Style magazine about the alleged pregnancy – and even confirmed it. Apparently, the couple were ready to give up on the IVF process after several failed attempts, but were successful after giving it one last try a few months ago.
Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s true and neither Stefani or Shelton have commented on the rumors. And looking at her Insta – which she has posted regularly on over the past few months – there doesn’t seem to be any signs of pregnancy. She even did a concert five days ago and there wasn’t a clear baby bump.

Whether or not the couple are preparing for their first child together, it appears Blake Shelton is 100% content with his three step-children. He is constantly expressing his love for them, including this snippet from March 2022 – “Every day, I’ve fallen in love with the boys as much as I do with Gwen.”
