In a new documentary titled Limitless, actor Chris Hemsworth, best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel franchise, documents the natural progression of aging and what the human body can really do.
As Disney+ reveals, this documentary dives into the “new scientific research that is shattering conventional wisdom about the human body and offering fascinating insights into how we can all unlock our body’s superpowers to fight illness, perform better and even reverse the aging process.”
Heartbreaking Moment Between Chris Hemsworth and His Wife Reveals Devastating Reality of Common Disease
The synopsis continues to reveal that “this science is put to the test by Hemsworth, who, despite being in peak superhero condition, is on a personal mission to learn how to extend our health, strength, and intellect further into our later years.”
But while Hemsworth is known for his impressive physique and healthy lifestyle, the documentary reveals, not even his lifestyle could prevent him from receiving heartbreaking information about his health.
As Hemsworth revealed in the documentary, he recently learned that he was at high risk for developing Alzheimer’s. The documentary also revealed an incredibly personal moment he shared with his wife, actress and model Elsa Pataky, after receiving the news.
Because the disease could start progressing at any moment, Chris Hemsworth had a simple request; he wanted to see his wife grow old. So Elsa did what she could and hired a makeup artist to age her so that he has that image of her.
And the moment Chris and Elsa shared together has brought tears to so many people’s eyes. As one person on Twitter said, it was “insanely beautiful and sad as well but so romantic. Love wins always.”
You can watch a brief clip of the heartbreaking moment below:
Elsa and Chris are reported to have first started dating in 2010. In that same year, the beautiful couple got married during the 2010 holiday season.
The couple shares three children together, one daughter and twin sons. The Hemsworth family currently lives in Chris’s native country, Australia.
