HGTV Featured A ‘Throuple’ for the First Time on ‘House Hunters,’ and People Are Losing Their Minds a Bit

House Hunters broke barriers on HGTV this past Wednesday when they featured its very first polyamorous relationship on one of its episodes.

After 17 seasons, the episode titled Three’s Not a Crowd in Colorado Springs,” followed Brian, Lori, and Geli on their journey to discovering their next home in the Centennial state.

The trio was on the hunt for a home that would not only provide space for their romantic arrangement, but also for Brian and Lori’s two children.

And as expected the family had an extensive wish-list for their new space, including a three-car garage along with a master bathroom that would accommodate three people.

Brian and Lori, who are legally married, both fell for Geli after meeting her at a bar. The three lovebirds decided to enter in a relationship with Brian and Lori exchanging vows with Geli in a commitment ceremony attended by their children.

The episode then finished with the family choosing a house a bit above their budget thanks to its stunning view of the surrounding mountains.

But what impressed viewers the most was not the gorgeous space, but rather the “progressive” and “educational dynamics” House Hunters captured with filming the “throuple.”

One viewer replied with praise, tweeting how they “love representation of real people and relationships!!!”

Another was very impressed with how the trio juggled the relationship:

“I give credit to anyone who can manage three relationships (with partner 1, partner 2, and the group as a whole). The amount of communication that would require is making my queer lady head spin.”

Same, girl, same!
