Several weeks ago, Mama June alluded to the idea that she and her youngest daughter’s relationship was on the mend. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo, was placed under the guardianship of her older sister Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird.
Efird stepped up for Honey Boo Boo when Mama June was in a tumultuous relationship with her ex Geno Doak. June at the time struggled with substance abuse.

Earlier this past summer, while talking with E! News, Mama June also revealed she is still on her sober journey. She has revealed she has been sober for more than a year now.
June continued to say as a result, her relationship with Honey Boo Boo was on the mend. “Our relationship is going good. You’ll see that throughout the season,” the mom of four said of the newest season of their reality television show.
“She is turning 17 in August. So that’s the thing, she is graduating next year. A lot of people still look at her as that 6-year-old little girl, but she’s [grown up].”
However, after Honey Boo Boo’s latest TikTok, some are concluding that maybe their relationship isn’t as good as Mama June thinks it is. Watch the TikTok for yourself:
The TikTok follows a popular trend. The video first shows Honey Boo Boo dancing while the words on the screen read, “Sister who needed a momma,” before the camera pans to Pumpkin dancing while the words on the screen read, “Sister that came in clutch and raised her.”
The status of the video reads, “If you mad keep scrolling. Cause yep, it’s about you,” which is clearly a dig at their mom.
People in the comments praised pumpkin for the good job she did looking after and raising her little sister. “No, because this isn’t talked about enough. Pumpkin has her own family and children to take care of and STILL does an amazing job with her like you’re amazing.”
“I’ve watched y’all grow up!! and I am proud of how y’all living,” another person wrote.
Mama June has yet to respond to the TikTok. It’s unclear if anything new has happened between the mom and her daughters, but it’s sure to all come out during their show.
