A nurse at the UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital is responsible for the photos that have been circling around social media this December. And people all over the world couldn’t be loving the photos anymore.
In a statement, Amy Charley, a spokesperson for the Pittsburgh hospital, she told CNN, “We celebrate babies being born every day at UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital. But to watch new parents see their little newborns dressed up during the holidays is simply priceless.”

A nurse who works at UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital reportedly knits the hats for the newborns in the hospital around Christmas time as part of the tradition. This year, the nurse added “Baby Yoda” ears to the traditional Santa hats.
That nurse is named Caitlin Pechin. She revealed that each hat took about one-and-a-half-hours to make and it’s something she thoroughly enjoys doing for her patients.
“I think they really enjoy having these extra events go on especially if their baby gets to be a part of it. They’ll always be able to see that for years to come.”
Baby Yoda, a character from Disney+ Mandalorian, has also taken the world by storm earlier this year. Making these pictures from the hospital double the cuteness.
In an interview with CNN, Bri and Sean McGowan‘s son was born in the hospital around the time infants were receiving the years. They admitted that they were very excited to see their son with the knitted cap on his head. Sean told CNN:

“We’ve been laughing. Ever since we watched ‘The Mandalorian’ when it came out, she looked at me and was like, ‘I want one. I want one.’ I said, ‘Well you’re going to get a baby soon. We’ll try to find you a Baby Yoda.'”
And find themselves a Baby Yoda they did.
