UPDATE: Ian Ziering is speaking out after a video showed him involved in a brawl with several other people riding mini bikes.
“Yesterday, I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes,” Ian began his statement. “While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage, I exited my car. This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”
“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace. This situation highlights a larger issue of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior. As a citizen and a parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this kind of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the response from authorities seems insufficient.”
Ziering continued, writing, “I have always been an advocate for standing up against intimidation and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety. We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behavior and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone. I urge city officials and law enforcement to take decisive action against such lawlessness and provide the necessary resources to prevent future occurrences. A scary video obtained by TMZ shows ‘90210’ star Ian Ziering being attacked by a group of bikers.
According to reports, Ziering was on Hollywood Blvd. on New Year’s Eve when he was allegedly jumped by the group of bikers.
As TMZ reports the brawl took place after a group of people on mini bikers were weaving in and out of traffic in Hollywood. Ziering was allegedly one of the cars stopped by the group and it’s believed the actor’s vehicle was hit by the bikes.
The video appears to show Ian Ziering aggravated at the bikers before things got physical. The fight seemed to start out between Ziering and one other biker before other bikers joined in, ganging up on Ziering.
It also seems that at least one of Ziering’s daughters was in the car and witnessed the fight.
TMZ reports that although the police were called before Ziering got in his car and drove away as the bikers followed, an official police report has been filed.
In the report, Ziering is reportedly listed as a victim.
Those who follow Ziering on Instagram took to the comments section of his latest Instagram post to wish him well.
“Dude, I hope you’re OK. I’m proud of you for not backing down. I hope they find those people. They should be really easily identify. Rest up and I hope you’re OK,” one commenter wrote, while others criticized him for not showing more composure.
