Isabella Strahan Shares Why She’s Celebrating Her 19th Birthday Again While Battling Cancer

Isabella Strahan is celebrating her 19th birthday seven months late.

In her latest vlog, Isabella looked to be in good spirits as she recovers from her latest round of chemotherapy.

While hanging out with her twin sister Sofia and several of their friends, the teens documented themselves making cupcakes in order to celebrate Isabella and Sofia’s 19th birthday all over again.

The reason why, as Isabella explains is because she wasn’t conscious for the original celebration in October.

Isabella had undergone her first surgery and was recovering in the hospital when she and Sofia celebrated their 19th birthday. She flashed back to a quick video of herself asleep in her hospital bed as her family posted signs and balloons in her room.

The twins, along with their friends and their dad GMA host Michael Strahan, sang happy birthday as Isabella had a big smile on her face.

In her last update, Isabella revealed she’s at the home stretch when it comes to the chemotherapy portion of her cancer treatment.

She has one last round of chemo to go.

“Tomorrow’s really my last day of chemo,” she marveled while recovering. “It’s crazy and then it’s my last cycle and then I’m done. It’s insane.”

“I’m home,” she revealed. “Other than that, I’m bored. Not in much pain.”

Isabella got honest about the side effects she’s been dealing with including rigor (shaking) and short term memory loss.

She also admitted she has fears about chemotherapy ending because she is so used to being constricted by the schedules of her cancer treatments.

“How am I going to go back to normal life? Cause I feel like there is always going to be another treatment or something.”

What a survivor!
