On Sept. 2, Jada Pinkett Smith took to Instagram.
She posted a message to her followers that read, “A man can CHOOSE to belong to someone. And if he does… he is considered noble. A woman is told she MUST belong to someone or … she is not worthy,” E! News reports.
In the caption, Jada elaborated further in her own words, “Even in some of our great religious traditions the goddess is rendered powerless without her male counterpart. And in others, the spiritual influence of the feminine, of Mother … is not even recognized.”
“We mere mortal women are worthy simply because we exist,” Jada continued, according to E! News. “And those of us who have cultivated our Queendom within our inner kingdom and have a deep relationship with the Great Supreme … if we so CHOOSE to bond with someone from this space … we will erect monumental love and give birth to treasures.”
After sharing the message, Jada changed the status of her Instagram account from public to private.
The actress has yet to publicly address her fans since changing her Instagram to private.
Her estranged husband, Will Smith has been active on social media. But the last time Jada was seen on his Instagram was back in October 2023.
Jada and Will’s son Jaden has also changed his account to private, but their daughter Willow’s and Jada’s mom’s account remain public.
