Jamie Foxx Shares First Photo of Himself Since Being Hospitalized in April: “BIG Things Coming Soon”

Jamie Foxx took to his Instagram on Thursday (July 20) and shared a photo of himself sitting on a gold F1 race car in front of a hotel in Las Vegas. It was a sponsored post with BetMGM – the online sportsbook operated by MGM Resorts International. Foxx has been an ambassador of the brand for four years now.

Thankful for my @betmgm family and a great few nights in Vegas. We got BIG things coming soon,” he wrote in the caption. The 55-year-old actor also shared a post by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, that showed the father-daughter duo sitting on that same race car as they celebrated four years with BetMGM.

That’s not all he posted. He shared another post by his daughter – this one a commercial they did for Intel Evo (a high-end brand of laptops). He also re-posted a Story by photographer Erik Humphery, who shared the photo of Foxx on the gold race car. “Spent the past 2 days shooting [Jamie Foxx],” he wrote.  As well as a video message:

His recent activity on social media comes just a few weeks after Jamie Foxx was seen on a boat in what was his first public sighting since being hospitalized in April. Video of his interaction with fans went viral shortly after he wrote, “Boat life ???? Celebrating summer with @brownsugarbbn. Stay blessed!” on Twitter.

In the video, which was obtained and released by TMZ, Foxx appears healthy, happy, and in good spirits. It’s a highly-encouraging sight to see considering the reports we’ve read over the past few months – some of which made it seem he was fighting for his life. That didn’t appear to be the case in the recent video.

The truth is no one outside his family and inner circle knows how he’s doing and how he’s been doing. What we do know is that his daughter, Corinne, revealed he was hospitalized in mid-April with an undisclosed medical emergency. The media ran wild with speculation over the next couple of weeks.

On May 3, Jamie Foxx took to Instagram to thank his fans and followers for all the love – adding that he’s ‘feeling blessed.’ A little more than a week later, Corinne provided an update that refuted previous reports and confirmed that her father had been out of the hospital for weeks and is now recuperating at home.

Social Media Users Debate Over Jamie Foxx and His Health

Over the past few months, social media users have been running wild with speculation over Jamie Foxx and his road to recovery following his hospitalization in mid-April. The recent video of him on a boat is certainly encouraging, but many of his fans aren’t convinced that everything is okay with the actor.

“I don’t understand why you haven’t talked to your fans yet? You used to talk to us all the time. This doesn’t make any kind of sense,” one fan wrote in the comments section of his most recent BetMGM photo. In fact, some fans are claiming the photo wasn’t taken recently – as the photographer suggested.

A big reason why so many fans are growing restless is because he was seen not long ago with a fairly bald head, but has a full head of hair in the BetMGM photo – something that can easily be fixed with a makeup crew and editing, but that doesn’t seem to fit the narrative that his fans are staying true to.

No matter what side of the spectrum you land on, it’s certainly encouraging to see Jamie Foxx in public and he didn’t appear to be battling anything physically. And while we won’t truly know what’s going on until he speaks out (or if he speaks out), all we can do is send him the love and support he needs.
