Jason Kelce is admitting that he lies to his three young daughters for a very specific reason.
Relatably, Jason has long said he’s never wanted a cat even though his wife, Kylie Kelce, and their three girls, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett do.

So, in an effort to get his kids to stop wanting a cat, he told his daughters that cats are poisonous.
“You know what my latest plan to divert our family from getting a cat is? I just keep telling our girls that cats are poisonous,” Jason shared with this brother, Travis Kelce, on the newest episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
“Why would you tell them that?” Travis quipped. “So that they don’t want cats,” Jason explained.
“And I don’t have to deal with having a cat and make them terrified.”
But Uncle Travis didn’t let the issue go. “That’s sick,” Travis told Jason of his master plan.
“It’s whatever,” Jason said. “They’ll find out. I think lying to your kids is important,” he joked.
“Not in this regard. They’re gonna go over a friend’s house and scream bloody murder because they see a cat,” Travis told his brother.
“That’s fine. That sounds like that person’s house problem,” Jason admitted, before saying Kylie is already against him, “I gotta get these kids on my side. Otherwise, I’m in a sinking ship.”
“Kylie is like, ‘They’re not poisonous. Your dad is lying to you.’ I’m like, listen, if you have a cat, the government will come and take it from you because it’s they’re so lethal that I mean, they can kill you, and they don’t even have to bite you. Just them licking you.”
This is far from the first time cats were a conversation on the brothers’ podcast.
Kylie wants advocated for Travis to get on her team about welcoming a cat into their family. “Here’s the deal, I told Jason that I want to get a cat,” Kylie said while a guest in Dec. 2023.
“And he told me no. And I feel like you might like cats now,” she said to Travis poking at his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift who is a known lover of cats.
