Jay Leno shows off bruised face after falling 60 feet. ‘Fell 60 feet—boom, boom, boom, boom’

Jay Leno is opening up after he suffered a massive fall before a performance in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“I’m a little beat up,” he told Inside Edition. “Fell 60 feet—boom, boom, boom, boom.”

According to the comedian, he is healing after suffering several injuries when he fell down a steep hill on his way to dinner before his performance Nov. 16.

The 74-year-old told Inside Edition that he broke his wrist, “lost my nail on the finger,” and suffered a swollen eye when he hit a rock during the tumble, leaving him with an eye patch.

“I am all black and blue from 60 feet of hitting rocks,” he added.

Despite the accident, Leno said he was still able to perform in front of the crowd waiting for him.

It’s unclear if his wife, Mavis Leno was with him at the time of his fall.

The video shared by Inside Edition just showed how bruised up Leno is after the accident. The left side of his face, the same eye covered in a patch, is completely black and blue.

Yet, despite his injuries, Leno appeared in good spirits, smiling with the reporter. “What else am I supposed to do?”

In April, Jay Leno was named as his wife’s conservator as she continues to battle Alzheimer’s disease.

During the conservatorship hearing, People reported Mavis’ lawyers confirmed that they were “in agreement” with Leno’s move to become becoming Mavis’ conservator, adding that she is “receiving excellent care with her husband, Mr. Leno.”

The judge agreed with Mavis’ counsel, saying, “I think she’s in the least restrictive environment. I think she’s in very good care with Mr. Leno.”

“Everything you’re doing is right,” the judge told the comedian. “I totally understand this is a difficult period.”

The judge then confirmed that Mavis “consents” to the conservatorship and that Jay is “fit” to serve as conservator.

As Inside Edition also reported, this fall comes after “his most recent incident when he crashed a motorcycle” resulting in a broken collar bone in January 2023.

Two months before that, “Leno suffered severe burns while working on a car in his garage in 2022.”
