Father’s Day was lonely this year for David Eason, husband of Jenelle Evans, and father to their daughter, Ensley, 2. The couple lost custody of Ensley, as well as of Jenelle’s two older children, after Eason shot and killed the couple’s dog. In May, a judge ruled that the couple could no longer have custody of their children and limited their interactions to pre-scheduled supervised visits. Unfortunately, no visit was scheduled for Father’s Day so the couple spent the holiday by themselves.
Evans shared a photo to her Instagram Stories showing their empty pool area, saying “it’s too quiet here.” However, the couple didn’t stay at home on their own: in addition to the sad pool pic, Jenelle shared snapshots showing the couple cruising along the North Carolina coast chasing crabs.
David Eason Named Top Five Frightening Father
On Father’s Day, Eason also got a gift he probably wasn’t thrilled to receive – he was named one of the top five frightening fathers by Investigation Discovery, according to RadarOnline. Eason came in at number four on the list.
Evans fiercely defending Eason in a Facebook post, saying “You put my husband on the most frightening list when he was PROTECTING HIS CHILD FROM BEING BITTEN BY A DOG IN THE FACE.”
Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans, however, seemed to relish the callout from ID.
Evans’ son Jace, 9, and Ensley, are in the custody of her mother, Barbara. Her son Kaiser, 4, is in the custody of her ex Nathan Griffith. The couple are attending couples therapy and parenting classes in an effort to regain custody of the kids. Evans’ rep shared with People, “At this time we are cooperating the judge and legal team from court. We will continue to cooperate with the court and their decisions.”
