Jenna Bush Hager Reveals Her Son Has Been Fake Sneezing and the Reason Why Is Hysterical

Jenna Bush Hager is admitting that she’s learning to be sneaky with her 4-year-old son after he reportedly outgrown his mom’s kisses.

Hal is the youngest of Jenna’s three kids, which also includes, 10-year-old Mila and 7-year-old Poppy. And as many parents know, as your children get older, more and more things start to embarrass them.

For Jenna, Hal has recently admitted that he is allergic to her kisses.

While anchoring the third hour of Today with Hoda Kotb, Jenna revealed that Hal has been “gaslighting me recently.” She continued revealing that “when I kiss him — because he’s my 4-year-old son who I’d like to kiss — he tells me he’s allergic to my kisses.”

In fact, Jenna said her son goes as far as to fake a sneeze to really drive his point home.

“So I lean down to give him a kiss and he goes like this: ‘Ahh-ahh-ahh-CHOO.’ Every time I kiss him. I have to sneak attack it. And then say, ‘See, you’re no longer allergic.'”

That’s when Hoda offered some sage advice, suggesting that maybe Jenna should give Hal a taste of his own medicine and gaslight him back.

“Maybe play a little hard to get,” Hoda offered. “Say, ‘No kisses today, Hal.’ And then he’ll be like this: ‘I want a kiss.'”

Advice Jenna thought was a good idea. “Maybe I am giving him too much affection, You’re right,” Jenna said before joking that she should treat Hal how she treated potential male friends back in the 90s.
