‘Fun-Killing’ Mom Jennifer Garner Shares How She Gets Her Kids to Try New Foods, Says They Refer to Her as ‘The Dragon’

We have to hand it to actress and mom-of-three Jennifer Garner. She is highly creative when it comes to getting her kids Sam, Seraphina, and Violet to try new foods, thanks to a game called “Like It, Love It, Want More of It.”

During a recent chat with theSkimm, Jennifer plugged her organic baby food brand Once Upon a Farm and dished on how the genius game works. “I’ll say, ‘Just try a bite of this,’ and they’ll say, ‘Can we play “Like it, Love it, Want More of it?”

Watch Garner describe the actually-pretty-ingenious game below.

We have to say: that looks pretty fun! Would play, Jennifer. Would play.

“They’ll take a bite and we’ll narrate it like we’re a broadcast announcer,” Garner says.

“We’ll say, ‘Oh, look, Sam Affleck has the meatball on his fork. The fork is going to his mouth. Sam Affleck is … it is in his mouth. He is chewing! He’s chewing, he’s chewing, he’s swallowing! You can’t tell what he’s thinking — what is he thinking? And the verdict is … !’”

The adventurous kiddos, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, then have to claim if they ‘love it’ or ‘like it.” According to Jennifer, the point is to encourage the kids to never say, “ew, gross.”

While we think she sounds extraordinarily fun, the star recently admitted on The Tonight Show that she is actually quite a tough mama.

“If you’re like me, I kill the fun. I am so lame. I say no to everything. They call me the dragon. They have all these names for me,” Garner tells Jimmy Fallon in the clip, embedded above.

Well, Dragon or not, we think Jennifer Garner sounds like an amazing mom, and her kids seem very lucky to have her. Keep up the good work, mama!
