New Details Emerge in Jeremy Renner Snow Plow Accident After Audio of 911 Call is Released

Jeremy Renner shares more details about his gruesome snow plow accident.

Alongside a photo of Renner working with a physical therapist from his hospital bed, the Marvel actor revealed the true extent of his injuries, revealing he broke 30 bones when his snow plow rolled over him.

In the Instagram post, Renner expressed his gratitude in spite of the long road to recovery that is in front of him. “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years,” Renner began.

“Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love ❤️ I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and thoughtfulness for my family and I …. Much love and appreciation to you all.”

As Renner continued, he wrote that the more than 30 bones broken in the tragic accident will eventually heal. “These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all ????❤️????.”

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Renner was just trying to help a family member retrieve their stuck vehicle out of the snow when he was run over and crushed by his snow plow – which weighs more than seven tons. The actor/singer was rushed to the hospital and treated for severe injuries before returning home to continue recovery.

The incident occurred on New Year’s Day and new details have been emerging ever since. The latest details come after audio of the 911 call was released – which paints a picture of the dire scene as Jeremy Renner lay on the ground nearly crushed to death. The unnamed caller attempts to calm the actor down.

“You’re going to be all right, brother. This is just pain here, so deal with that and you’ll be all right. We’ll get you out of here,” the 911 caller can be heard saying to Renner. At several points, the caller worries that the actor’s breaths are shortening, he’s starting to drift in and out of sleep, and he’s bleeding profusely.

The snow plow that ran over Jeremy Renner was a PistenBully, which weighs north of 14,000 pounds (7 tons). The actor successfully towed his family member’s vehicle out of the snow before hopping out of the snow plow to talk to his relative. At that point, the snow plow started to roll and he couldn’t stop it in time.

“He says he’s got ribs issues,” the caller said to the 911 dispatcher. “His right side … his right chest and upper-upper torso. His ribs look like they might be crushed. He’s got a head wound as well,” he continued as he pleaded for immediate help – it was clear that Renner wasn’t going to make it much longer.

While the dispatcher would’ve loved to have someone at the scene immediately, they explained to the caller that snowfall was making it difficult to provide an estimate for the rescue team’s arrival. Throughout the harrowing phone call, Renner can be heard in the background yelling and screaming in constant pain.

The emergency team finally arrived on the scene roughly 20 minutes into the phone call. At that point, rescuers rushed Renner to the hospital where he was immediately treated. Despite being in critical condition, doctors confirmed he was stable. Considering what happened, his being alive is a miracle.

Jeremy Renner is Now Recovering at Home

Doctors provided an update on January 2, the day after the accident, confirming Jeremy Renner ‘suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries’ and underwent surgery to begin the recovery process. On January 3, Renner posted a photo of himself in his hospital bed covered in bruises and bandages.

He later shared a video of his mother and sister treating him to a ‘spa day’ as he continues to recover. His sister was washing, shampooing, and massaging his hair as he lay in his hospital bed. “A ‘not no great’ ICU DAY, turned into an amazing spa day with my sis and mama❤️. Thank you sooooo much,’’ he wrote.

Renner returned to Twitter on January 16th to reveal he was now at home and doing better. “Outside my brain fog in recovery, I was very excited to watch episode 201 with my family at home ❤️,” he wrote, referring to the first episode of Season 2 of Mayor of Kingstown, which was released on January 15th.
