John David Duggar and His Wife Abbie Had an Amazing Flight-Themed Gender Reveal Party

John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett Duggar are expecting a baby girl! The Counting On couple recently shared the exciting news in a video posted by TLC.

In addition to the video, the couple shared a series of images from their gender reveal party on their shared Instagram feed, @johnandabbie, with the caption, “Boy or girl, what’s your guess??” The post includes three images of John, Abbie, and their family at the gender reveal party. In two of the images, they are holding pink and blue baby booties and bottles.

The official gender reveal came during the video posted on TLC where the couple announced, “We are so excited to announce that we are having a baby girl.”

Abby shared that she’s “excited about hair bows and pink dresses and lots of sparkles.”

The couple’s gender reveal party had a flight theme. When guests arrived, they chose a boarding pass with different flight numbers (one for a boy and one for a girl). John David’s brother Jeremiah officially announced the gender when he flew a plane with a banner featuring the revealing flight number.

Yesterday, the couple shared a follow-up photo on Instagram, saying, “We couldn’t be more excited to announce…IT’S A GIRL!!!”

John and Abbie shared their baby news exclusively with People magazine in early August. They said that they were “on cloud 9 about welcoming our own little Duggar into the world. It is really amazing to think about being parents and having our own child to raise.”

Congratulations to the Duggars! We’re excited for them both to meet their baby girl for the first time!
