John Krasinski Shares Heartwarming Message About His Wife, Emily Blunt: “She Pushes Me To Be Better”

John Krasinski and his wife, Emily Blunt, are the epitome of relationship goals. They started dating in November 2008, got engaged in August 2009, and got married on July 10, 2010. Since then, they’ve welcomed two daughters into this world – 8-year-old Hazel Krasinski and 6-year-old Violet Krasinski.

Blunt and Krasinski are open about their love for one another and never hesitate to praise the other for their unconditional support. This was evidenced in Krasinski’s latest interview with Parade – in which he was joined by Jack Ryan co-stars – Wendell Pierce (James Greer) and Michael Kelly (Mike November).

At one point during the interview, the three co-stars were asked – “Who is someone you can count on to have your back in a dire situation and why them?” After Kelly and Pierce provided their answer to the question, the interviewer turned his attention to Krasinski – “How about you, John?” the interviewer asked.

“Oh Emily, for sure,” said John Krasinski, without hesitation. “I wouldn’t be anywhere in my life without her. On a daily basis, but certainly career-wise, as a dad, she pushes me to be better every single day at everything I do. So I look forward to the next day ’cause I know it’ll be better than the one before.”

The interview comes just a few weeks after an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where he described what life is like as a famous father. Believe it or not, he revealed that his daughters don’t quite understand that he’s a famous actor yet – despite understanding that their mother, Emily, is.

In fact, John Krasinski goes on to explain that his daughters thought Emily married him ‘out of charity’ and shares a moment he had with one of his daughters when a fan of The Office approached him on the street. The fan walked up to him and said, “John! From The Office!” which confused his daughter.

She was under the impression that her father worked in an actual office – hence why she thought her mother was so nice for marrying someone who wasn’t famous. In reality, Krasinski’s one of the most beloved actors of his generation, known for his roles in The Office and most recently Jack Ryan.

Watch John Krasinski in Season 3 of ‘Jack Ryan’

While John Krasinski originally broke onto the scene as Jim Halpert on The Office between 2005 and 2013. Three years after the show came to an end, it was announced that Krasinski would play Dr. Jack Ryan in Jack Ryan, a TV series adapted from the book series by the same name, written by Tom Clancy.

Season 1, which was 8 episodes long, was released on August 31, 2018 and immediately received positive reviews as many people got hooked. Season 2 was released more than one year later on October 31, 2019. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic brought production and filming to a halt.

After a three-year wait, fans were finally given a Season 3 on December 21, 2022 – much like the first two seasons, this one is 8 episodes long and is available on Amazon Prime Video. While people continue working their way through the season, initial feedback is positive as Krasinski perfects the role, as usual.

Luckily, he didn’t let any spoiler alerts out – we’ll have to wait for its release to learn what happens next!
