John Schneider speaks out again days after losing his wife.
Alongside a photo of him and Alicia kissing, the actor wrote, “I simply have no words but…I miss you desperately, Mrs. Schneider!”
Famed actor and singer John Schneider, best known for his portrayal of Beauregard “Bo” Duke in Dukes of Hazzard, is urging fans to ‘hug those you love tight’ after losing his wife, Alicia Allain, at the age of 53. He shared the news with his fans on Instagram, penning an emotional and heartbreaking caption.
“My beautiful Smile is pain-free, living in her new body alongside Jesus. Please respect our privacy during this time of grief. Please do not ask any questions,” he wrote, asking people to share photos of ‘us and our obvious love.’ “Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”
Alongside the caption, he shared a photo of his wife giving a ‘thumbs up’ and a second photo of him holding his wife’s hand – their wedding rings in clear view. The comments section was overflowing with thoughts, prayers, and condolences as Schneider learns to continue on with his wife in a better place.
On Wednesday, Schneider also took to his Facebook Page to share a ‘beautiful moment’ of him and his wife dancing. The video received more than 37,000 likes/reactions, more than 3,000 comments, and nearly 800 shares. Again, the comments section was filled with kind words and loving tributes.
A cause of death wasn’t revealed, but it comes a few years after John Schneider and Alicia Allain shared her breast cancer diagnosis. “This past Memorial Day I was diagnosed with stage 4 HER2 negative cancer,” said Allain in 2020, adding they grew concerned when it started manifesting itself on her skin.
Stage 4 breast cancer, also known as metastatic cancer, occurs when the cancer spreads to other organs and/or parts of the body – opposed to being contained in the breast area. HER2, also known as human epidermal growth factor receptor 2, negative cancer means the body isn’t making an excess of HER2.
At the time, Schneider revealed that she was ‘three years into a five-year shelf life’ – that was a little more than two years ago. Allain said she decided to go on a keto diet for cancer, take CBD oil regularly, and ground herself in minerals – adding she got herself into a ‘really rigid regime.’ Treatment was going well.
John Schneider Posts Another Emotional Tribute
On Thursday, John Schneider continued to pay his respects to his late wife. He called it a ‘time of unimaginable sorrow,’ adding that ‘grief is much too small a word’ – anyone who has lost someone close to them can understand that sentiment. He also uttered the words, ‘with great love comes great sorrow.’
“Alicia was the fuel that ran my biggest dreams. The inspiration behind every creative thought. The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together. I miss her more than any words could possibly describe. Pain is too small a word. Grief is too small a word. Love itself is too small a word,” Schneider continued.
He wants his friends, family members, and fans to continue posting photos and videos of their deep love – saying ‘those images help.’ He also wants people to continue to pray for himself and his family, thanking everyone for their thoughts, concerns, and prayers as they continue to endure ‘the most trying of times.’

He concluded his message by reiterating how much his wife loved her fans and asked people to bare with him as he travels a road he ‘never dreamed’ he’d have to travel. “I’ll never be the same and I know that, somehow, we are still and will always by the ‘Team To Beat.’ Our thoughts and prayers are with him.
