John Stamos Reveals The Last Text He Received From The Late Taylor Hawkins

John Stamos reflects back on his last conversation with Taylor Hawkins.

In the wake of Hawkins’s death, the Full House actor posted to Twitter to share the last text he received from the drummer.

“This was Taylor Hawkins’ last text to me: ‘Ya We’ve yet to fully have a hang -Got a put that s*** together before we die,'” Stamos tweeted on March 26.

“Wise words from my friend- put that s*** together! I’m so f****** sad. Another one gone too soon.”

John shared a throwback video of Hawkins in which the late musician pretended to be upset with the TV star for getting a GEICO commercial in which Stamos flipped a knitting needle just like a drumstick.

“Stamos is a good buddy of mine. He’s a good guy. I really like him a lot. He’s a great drummer and he’s just a great dude, all that stuff,” Hawkins said in the old clip.

“But I’m a little upset with him actually, I gotta be honest with you, because I was supposed to do that GEICO commercial….Originally that was mine but they decided to go with Stamos ‘cause he’s better looking. But I’m the best stick flipper around. Sorry, Stamos….It goes me, Tommy Lee, Stamos.”

To which Stamos agreed, saying: “Yes, Taylor you are the best stick flipper and I miss you pal!” he wrote on Instagram alongside the footage. #GoneWayTooF******Soon.”

Hawkins was reportedly suffering from chest pains just before his sudden death at age 50.

On Friday, an ambulance was called to a hotel in the north of Bogotá in Chapinero, Colombia, on Friday to reportedly help with a patient, believed to be Hawkins, according to a statement from the city’s health secretary.

“The health professional who attended the emergency indicated that they performed the respective resuscitation maneuvers,” the statement said in Spanish, “however, there was no response and the patient was declared deceased.”

Authorities investigating his passing confirmed traces of opioids, THC (marijuana), antidepressants and benzodiazepines which showed up in toxicology tests, and it is also believed his heart weighed “at least 600 grams” during an autopsy. Reportedly, this is twice the size it should be for a man of his age.

Taylor reportedly “had 10 types of substances” in his system at the time of his death.
