During the defamation trial Johnny Depp brought against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp’s only daughter, Lily-Rose Depp, has been mentioned a few times. While she very much has nothing to do with this case, reports are revealing that supporters of Johnny Depp have reportedly set their sights on the model.
As it is well known, Johnny Depp is a father of two, a son Jack and a daughter, Lily-Rose. Lily has become a well-known fashion model over the years.
Lily is just 22 years old, making her just a teen when her father was in a relationship with Amber Heard. Depp and Heard had brought up Lily by name only a couple of times during the defamation trial. Other than that, Depp’s children have been largely absent from the case.

However, it’s the absence that has reportedly encouraged Depp supporters to send abusive Instagram comments to Lily-Rose. According to BuzzFeed, fans are upset with Lily-Rose for not publicly supporting her father.
While Lily-Rose has not used her public social media account since the trial began, that hasn’t stopped people from entering the comments section of her older posts. As a Twitter user revealed with screenshots of some of the comments, these people who pride themselves on being “supporters” of the actors have said some disgusting things to Lily-Rose.
Some of the comments read, “After years, you will be gone and forgotten, and people will only remember you as the daughter of a legendary man.” While others questioned the model, asking her, “how come you did not speak out about your father’s case?”
“I see not one picture of you with your father. WHY,” another commenter wrote. However, those attempting to protect Lily-Rose from the abuse that is far too common on social media slammed Depp supporters for their words.
“Y’all harassing her over a man y’all have never met,” someone tweeted. “Parasocial relationships are a disease. Y’all have no consideration that maybe all this is difficult for her. Y’all feel entitled to her time & energy. It’s sick.”

Another person questioned if the people who claimed to be Depp supporters really “think he would be happy that they’re harassing his daughter?” Nonetheless, despite the noise, Lily-Rose has refused to give in to the peer pressure and comment on her father’s case.
During his testimony, Depp revealed his daughter was not at his wedding to Heard because Lily and Heard “were not on particularly great terms for several reasons.” As CinemaBlend reported, while Lily may not often post about her father on social media, she has called him “wonderful” and “ the sweetest, most loving person I know” in past interviews.
Back in 2020, Lily-Rose’s mother, Vanessa Paradis, defended Depp, saying he is a “kind, attentive, generous and non-violent person.” It’s unclear if Johnny Depp encourages his daughter to stay away from the very public drama this case has caused.
