Johnny Knoxville and his second wife, Naomi Nelson, are divorcing.
Knoxville, 51, filed for divorce from Nelson in Los Angeles this past Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents.

The court documents also revealed that Knoxville – whose legal name is Philip John Clapp – and Nelson separated on September 24, 2021. This was the same date of their 11-year wedding anniversary.
Knoxville and the documentary filmmaker dated for “a few years” before revealing in August 2009 that they were expecting their first child together.
At the time, Knoxville shared how he and Nelson “felt it was time to start reproducing” and that they were “excited as all hell.”
“Can’t wait ’til the little booger gets here,” he added. “My daughter Madison [from his first marriage] has already started becoming a big sister, too, and is helping pick out clothes, strollers, and beds for her new little sister or brother.”
Knoxville is requesting joint legal and joint physical custody of the former couple’s two children, 12-year-old son Rocko and 10-year-old daughter Arlo.

Knoxville believes he has separate property from Nelson the divorce documents also state. However, he is “unaware of the full nature and extent of said separate property,” which will be sorted out at a later date.
It is not clear if Nelson has obtained legal representation to comment on her behalf.
And while Knoxville usually keeps his personal life private, Johnny wrote a heartfelt tribute to Nelson in honor of Mother’s Day on Instagram in 2021.
“Happy Mother’s Day to my one true love and the most wonderful mother our kids could ever hope for,” he wrote alongside two photos of Nelson and their children. “You bless us every day and I and we love you very much.”

Knoxville was previously married to fashion designer Melanie Lynn Clapp from 1995 to 2008. And their daughter, Madison Clapp, was born in 1996.
They divorced in 2008 after a long separation.
Knoxville was the co-creator and star of MTV’s “Jackass” stunt reality show, first airing in 2000 that has spawned a number of movies, including “Jackass Forever,” which came out earlier this year.
