Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott, best known as the hosts of Property Brothers, were recently featured on The Jennifer Hudson Show – where they talked about growing up together. Like most brothers, especially twin brothers, their high school days were highlighted by little pranks.
While the twins look a lot alike in the present day, they explained how that was multiplied when they were younger – more specifically, before they started to grow facial hair. What we’re now learning is that Jonathan would often use their similar appearance to embarrass his brother.
“When we were teenagers, if there was a girl that Drew had a crush on, I would put his clothes on and make an absolute fool out of myself. Then she would never ever call him, talk to him — anything,” said Jonathan on Friday’s show, adding ‘that’s what brothers are supposed to do.’

They also opened up about their love and obsession with Halloween – this is a steady reminder that Halloween is on Monday! In fact, the twins have been known to dress up year-round – including wearing Wonder Woman outfits through an airport on a ‘random Tuesday.’
Last year, Jonathan Scott shared an outing with his girlfriend, Zooey Deschanel, on Halloween – the couple spent the day at Disneyland. “I had the most fun this weekend with @jonathanscott at @disneyland,” said Deschanel in the caption, with Jonathan adding a reply in the comments.
The two brothers turned 44 in April. Drew Scott has been married to his wife, Linda Phan, since 2018 – they started dating in 2010. They spent two years attempting to have a child through IUI and IVF treatments, announcing their pregnancy in December 2021 – their son was born in May.
Meanwhile, Jonathan is currently dating actress Zooey Deschanel – they met during a Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show With James Corden. While he doesn’t have any children, he has voiced his intent to one day start a family. He does, however, own two dogs.

On October 17, Zooey Deschanel appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show and couldn’t help but talk about her relationship with Jonathan Scott. The two have been together for three years now and they appear to be perfect for one another – their pictures together are always adorable.
“Yeah, he’s so sweet. I’m very lucky. He’s the best. And he has a great family too,” said Zooey, who shares two children with her ex-husband, Jacob Pechenik. “He’s just the nicest person. People aren’t that nice generally and he’s just so nice. He goes over and fixes things at my parents’ house.”
Drew Barrymore calls the relationship a ‘dream.’ “The way that your man speaks about you. The way he speaks about your family. ‘I’ve got to get home for dinner. I need to be there every night. This is what we do this is how we do it, my kids, my woman, our home, our family.’”
Zooey apparently had no idea her life was about to change for the better when she first met Scott in 2019. “I went to say hi to him because I hadn’t met him before. He had messaged me on Instagram just saying ‘Oh I’m looking forward to meeting you,’” she explained on the show.
