Justin Sylvester Speaks Out After Pushing Jenna Bush Hager Out of the Way on National Television

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, after television host Justin Sylvester was seen on television pushing Today Host Jenna Bush Hager out of the way during a nationally televised segment of the show, some people were shocked.

Many people who watched the segment live and later as it went viral on social media thought Sylvester was being rude to Jenna Hager. Several people believed Sylvester pushed Hager out of the way because she was invading her personal space.

You can see Hager give a sly little smile to the camera after Sylvester pushes her away and that’s likely because she knows what he is doing. Several moments later, the chef made a comment about Justin “hogging,” to which Hager replies saying, “He’s hogging you.”

Nonetheless, the moment has since been labeled as “rude” and “a diss.” And some people are siding with Sylvester, saying Hager was “too handsy” during the segment.

Now, Justin Sylvester is sharing why he pushed Hager out of the way and it’s not what you’re thinking! As Decider reports, Sylvester admits the shove had nothing to do with Hager but rather the chef they were talking with.

“People thought that she was invading my space and that’s actually not the truth,” Sylvester began. “What we were doing was — we were both flirting — well, I was flirting with the chef because he was cute.” 

As Sylvester continued, he revealed that he moved Jenna out of the way so that he could have a one-on-one moment with the chef. “I was pushing her out the way so I could have a one-on-one moment with the chef and people took it the wrong way.”

Sylvester added that people often “jump to conclusion,” before iterating how nice Hager is. “[Jenna is] one of the nicest, most welcoming people that I’ve ever met.” 

“They’re so good to me. [Hager] is awesome and she was a big champion of mine, still is. And, you know, I like her. I hate that people are taking it out of context.”

Hager has yet to comment on the matter herself. It’s unclear if she will. Luckily, it seems all is good between Justin Sylvester and Jenna Bush Hager and that it’s actually those with a bird’s eye view who are making something out of nothing.
