Following Her Statement Against Her Ex-Husband, Kate Gosselin Is Being Accused of Various Forms of Child Abuse, Like Zip-Tying Collin

Earlier in September, Jon Gosselin was investigated for child abuse after his son Collin called 911 claiming that his father punched and kicked him during an argument. It was later revealed by responding police officers that the claims made against Jon were unfounded, something that irritated Kate Gosselin.

His daughter, Hannah, who lives with Jon and Collin issued a statement to the Daily Mail defending her father, saying he has never abused them. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jon told the reporter that while he did have to restrain his son during the argument, he never physically punched or kicked his son.

Kate Gosselin Is Now Being Accused of Child Abuse

Jon also revealed that Collin suffers from mental illnesses like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, due to how he was treated when he was living with their mother and his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Jon said Kate “hasn’t seen Collin in five years and now she’s going to try to come out as the caring mother when in fact the reason Collin is struggling with mental illness is because she abused him.”

“He has PTSD because of her. So I’m not going to sit back and not defend myself or my family. Dealing with a child with mental health issues is taxing, I’m taxed. But I love my son. I will not give up. I go to therapy, we all go to family therapy, to deal with having a son that has been traumatized and abused by his mother.”

These remarks came after Kate said she is “horrified that this man is the father of my children. I don’t want my children to be associated with someone who loses his mind because his car got dented.”

Kate also told People, “I do not want this buried, swept under the rug, or minimized. As a mother, I am not going to sit quietly and idly by while my child, any of my children, is assaulted by anyone, let alone their own father.”

Now it is Kate Gosselin who is being accused of abusing her children. According to a copy of a report that was filed in 2018 about Collin Gosselin that was obtained by the Daily Mail, Collin told his court-appointed therapist that Kate “used a number of harmful tactics with him, including zip-tying him to a chair and having him sleep in a closet or the basement away from his siblings.”

Following his time with the therapist, a certified traumatologist, and a counselor, it was determined that “Collin was suffering from trauma and chronic PTSD.” The Daily Mail further reported that following the multiple evaluations, the counselor was “duty-bound to report the alleged abuse to Childline.”

And while Jon has never confirmed these particular reports, during his interview with Entertainment Tonight, he warned Kate that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. “It’s evidential that she has been abusive to Collin. I have the evidence to prove that and … she made this public and she wants to drag it out. She better watch what she’s saying only because it’s only going to, you know, come back to hurt her in the end. I have nothing to hide.”

Shortly after the Daily Mail published their report, people took to the comments section of her Instagram page to let her know how they felt about it. “You wonder why Collin wants nothing to do with you? Look at how you’ve treated him, don’t even blame Jon for his mental issues that you caused. You haven’t cared about him for years and now you do all of a sudden,” one commenter wrote.

Kate has not yet responded to the new report or the comments being left of her social media platforms.
