Katy Perry is dropping new music and rocking her baby bump at the same time. On May 15, Perry, who is expecting her first child with actor Orlando Bloom this year, shared her second new song in just two months.
In March, the singer first revealed that she and Bloom were expecting in her music video for her new song ‘Never Worn White.’ Now she’s sharing even more of her baby bump in the music video for her newest song titled ‘Daises.’

The video starts out with Perry standing in a field of flowers looking like she’s in a home video. The artist is wearing a simple white dress and white floor-length shawl on top while wearing minimal makeup.
Then, midway through the video, she bares it all while standing in a stream. “They said I’m going nowhere, tried to count me out. Took those sticks and stones, showed ’em I could build a house. They tell me that I’m crazy, but I’ll never let ’em change me. ’Til they cover me in daisies, daisies, daisies,” Perry sings as she stands near a waterfall.
The song Daisies is about remaining true to oneself no matter what other people are telling you, the singer revealed on Instagram.
“I wrote this song a couple months ago as a call to remain true to the course you’ve set for yourself, regardless of what others may think. Recently, it has taken a new meaning for me, in light of what the whole world is experiencing. Each of us is one in more than seven billion, with our own story of strength and resilience to tell.”
The soon-to-be mom shared the news of her pregnancy on March 5. She and Bloom, who have been engaged for over a year now, also shared on Instagram that they are expecting a little girl.
Perry also took to Instagram to share a video of a recent ultrasound in which her daughter gave her the “middle finger.”

Perry is also a stepmom as Bloom has a son from his previous marriage to model Miranda Kerr. Perry joked that not sharing the news of her pregnancy right away was “probably the longest secret” she has “ever had to keep.”
