A Time For Everything. It’s been quite the season in real life while @brittanylynnlutz and I have been living in NY for season one of @fbicbs Most Wanted! @brittanylynnlutz you have been unbelievable during this hard past month! So grateful for you! I wanted to give a shout out to you all for all your love and support as we lost our baby girl who became stillborn at 6.5 months. Thank you to my @fbicbs @cbstv family, @universaltv @christablackgifford @themasterheart, our neighborhood church @c3.nyc @jkelsey and @georgieclaire @filmorebouldes for the sweet flowers and plants! We cherish the sentiment deeply! Thanks to our families who have been there to help in anyway this whole time. We can’t wait to try again when the time is right God willing. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1, 3-8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ I’ve had my season of mourning and now I’m ready to dance. Love you all! -K

First of all, THANK YOU to all of you. Your love, support, encouragement, kindness… it’s been overwhelming in the best way. It also shocking how many of you have been through the same thing. You are all superwomen. To those who have been vulnerable and shared your own experiences with us, we appreciate you letting us into painful chapters of your lives for the sake of showing us we aren’t alone. ????⁣ ⁣ This has, without a doubt, been the hardest season of my life. It feels as though within one day we went from a season that felt like a warm summer day, to the most frigid, windiest, iciest, day ever recorded. (Anyone ever seen The Revenant with Leo? I feel like Leo in The Revenant right now!) My emotions and feelings are slightly all over the place which is to be expected. Some moments I feel so full of peace and hope and expectancy. And other moments, simply put, it all just hurts like hell. I think it is important to try to always operate from a place of positivity, but that doesn’t mean you don’t acknowledge the other side too. We are human after all. We all hurt, bleed, cry. Feeling the negative emotions doesn’t make you negative. ⁣ ⁣ The pain: ⁣ – I miss her. A lot. ⁣ – My milk came in last night. My boobs are rocks, leaking, and hurt like heck. It feels like a cruel reminder that I have no baby to feed. ⁣ – My arms and neck are covered in bruises from IVs and blood transfusions and my body is so sore from fighting to survive. ⁣ ⁣ The positive:⁣ – I’m still here!!!! I’m writing this right now and feel humbled. ⁣ – I have the greatest husband and family and friends (and all of you who I’ve never even met!) who have poured so much back to me that I feel full. ⁣ – Even though this is so heavy, I have an unexplainable hope and excitement for the future. I’m not ready for another pregnancy right now, (not sure when I will be honestly), but I’m excited to heal and move forward and explore this new version of myself. This situation didn’t make me the person I thought I would become (specifically a mother to a real life baby girl), but it did birth a new version of me. Truthfully I’m scared and nervous but at the same time really eager to get to know her.

Grateful. ????⁣ ⁣ I heard someone say “You don’t fall in love. It’s not a hole. You choose love.” I wholeheartedly agree with this. It doesn’t always feel like you’re choosing love in the moment because your emotions and feelings are right there encouraging you and leading you. That’s why it’s important we master our feelings and emotions. To make sure they’re leading us to true love & to get our hearts there safely. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In the same way you can’t fall out of a hole, you can’t fall out of love. It is a two way street of course, definitely not saying it isn’t. But at the end of the day love is a choice that hopefully you’re both making. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ A lot of people would argue that the greatest act of love was Jesus dying on the cross for us to take our place in the judgement seat when our life here is done. But Jesus didn’t die on the cross in a moment of passion. He didn’t die during an emotional high. He wasn’t falling in love with us. He actually asked to not have to do it (and who could blame Him?!). But He was already in love with us. He had already made the decision that He loved us so it didn’t matter what feelings and emotions were going on, He was going to come through even in His pain and suffering and uncomfortability. He was committed to us. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So for those of us who’s standard is to be more Christ-like, we can’t expect to live and love based on our FEELINGS and expect to have a fulfilled love life on that alone. For those of you who love hard and choose to love, in 2020 make sure the person you’re pursuing/dating is choosing you back. Like really choosing you. Take it from me, wasting time on people who aren’t loving you right is time you can’t get back and heartache in the making. For those of you still in the waiting, let this be the year you surrender control of your love life and see what God can do. ????

The loss of a pregnancy is something that is experienced by many, but talked about publicly by few. We applaud this couple for their courage and hope that they continue to feel the support of their collective community during this difficult time.
